About the Author
Carl E Clarke BSc MD FRCP is a reader in Clinical Neurology at the University of Birmingham and Consultant Neurologist at City Hospital, Birmingham, UK. He studied Anatomy and Medicine at the University of Manchester and completed his postgraduate training in Manchester and Yorkshire.
He has been involved in Parkinson's disease research for 20 years. His current interests include systematic reviews of clinical trials in Parkinson's disease and large-scale pragmatic clinical trials such as PD MED, PD SURG and PD OT.
