Bit doubtful that pump at such a good price would perform like my old Grunfos. However no problems works well good head pressure but a little noisy on fast setting but runs well on low setting for 4 bed house.

The unit is well made and appears to be of the same quality as my existing pump. The price was also very good.

Or should I say, you rarely get what you didn't pay for. When my Myson CP53 packed up after more than fourteen years' service, I needed a replacement and I didn't have many opportunities to go shopping. It soon became apparent that I couldn't get a like-for-like replacement. The choices were Grundfos (very expensive), Screwfix (cheap but with rather too many bad reviews for my liking) or this one. So how has it worked out?

Good points:

It's cheap.
It's a dead fit replacement.

Not so good:

The manual - if you can call it that - is minimal. There's no information about the pump at all. If you're designing a heating system and you need a graph of flow against pressure, you're very much out of luck. All you can do is suck it and see.

The electrical inlet is of very poor quality. If they'd made the plastic any thinner, you'd be able to push your finger through it. It has spring loaded wire clamps, which are not as reliable as screw terminals in my experience, and the gland - if you can call it that - is very poor. It contains a 'stretchy rubber sealing ring' (I can't think of a better way to describe it) and a separate cable grip. The largest cable that can be forced through the ring is also the smallest that the grip will reliably hold. You may have to experiment with different cables to get a good fit. I'm using silicone sheathed cable of about 7.5mm diameter. The only way to force it through the sealing ring was from the inside. That is to say, I had to feed the entire length through from the inside out! (Some silicone oil would have helped.)

The mechanical construction doesn't win many prizes either. The casting is of dubious quality and mine has a void actually in the face of a coupling flange!

Had a problem with my heating and was not 100% sure if it was a faulty pump so I bought this one as it was half the price of my original. Easy to fit and wire up and it sorted my problem out. It is a little bit noisy but the speed it heats the rads up and hot water is a lot quicker than my original Danfoss. Good up to now, well worth the money.

Pump was easily installed in place of a noisy Grundfos and performed efficiently and quietly and for a third of the price. One thing to note though - if the plumber cannot undo the water inlet and outlet nuts, then to save draining the system he might try and use the existing plate whilst still isolated, and screw the main part of the new pump on to that. In this situation, the Parker pump will not fit onto the Grundfos inlet/outlet plate. Despite this minor point I am highly satisfied with this product.

fitted to my boiler within a hour including replacing a faulty leaking isolation pump valve, would highly recommend the electrical grommet could be improved, the one on my pump would not tighten up properly,

Do to a faulty stopcock, this pump was left to run without any water for a couple of hours. It made some unpleasant noises of course until the fault was traced. I fully expected to have to throw the pump away - but since the water flow has been fixed, it has run quietly and efficiently ever since.
So I recommend this pump as a Grundfos replacement as it's just as good and a lot cheaper.
The instructions could have been more detailed - especially about the release of air screw - but that's only a minor point.
