Book Description

The HIT PARKER series in one complete volume.

'I saw some of the TV series. The book is better...' Mr. P Stevenson

Meet Parker.

In a world devastated by plague, Parker has to fight everything from mutant vermin to the horrific, hissing 'things' that were once human.

Parker also looks out for other survivors, all the while trying to keep clear of the vicious, murdering road-gangs known as 'hogs'.

Then he saves the life of a young girl, Abigail - and finds that his life once again has purpose and meaning.

But with the odds hopelessly stacked against the mismatched pair, how can they possibly hope to survive...?

More About the Author

Let's cut the crap ('scuse French)...

Every other author on Amazon is 'Bestselling author of this' or 'No. #1 Ranked writer of that'...

Me? I'm just another schmuck, nudging 40, with a wife and two young kids to feed. Bills to pay, graying hair, lagging libido. That kind of thing.

So whataya want? Apocalypse? Biker gangs, bloodthirsty zombies? I can do that. Check out PARKER: THE STORY OF AN APOCALYPSE SURVIVOR...

A Japanese feudal-era 'Sherlock Holmes' -type? THE ENNIN MYSTERIES, baby...

A genius half-Jewish violinist, sent to the Auschwitz concentration camp and kept alive by an otherwise entirely evil guard? THE WHISTLER: A MURDERER'S TALE...

A tale written entirely in 'Japlish'? (Unlikely, but then you never know, and it DID get a five-star review from legendary AMAZON US #1 HALL OF FAME [end capitals] reviewer Joanna Daneman) That'll be the 'cult classic' BIG SOUND TEMPLE...

The five years I've spent, so far, living and working at an ancient Buddhist temple in Nagasaki City, Japan? CONFESSIONS OF A JAPANESE TEMPLE GARDENER...

Hell, I've got a bunch of books out. Over 80, I reckon. Hopefully, there's at least one there to suit YOU.

Maybe even two, though I don't want to rush things between us just yet...

Either way, whatever you do, have a great day.

Ben.

Really enjoyed this book. After reading a couple of zombie books over the last few months ,this was one of the only the few characters I didn't want to get bitten in the first few chapters .Well worth the few pence I paid for it .If you only read one zombie novel this year make it this one.

Great read. Finished this in 2 days over the Christmas holiday. I read a lot of post apocalyptic books and this is up there in the top 10 with "the Remaining". It's well written/described and allows you to see/feel the story cleary through Parkers eyes, there are some real elements of tension along with parts that give you a feel good factor, not often found in bleak genre like this! It reminds me of "The Wanderer" by David Anderson. Definitely worth a read if you enjoy this genre and its only 96p!

5.0 out of 5 stars Enthralling 3 Jun. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Slow to start, this is an enthralling story of how one man in small town America comes to terms with the loss of friends and family as the Zombie type plague spreads across the world. Not an unusual scenario for this genre but this is very well told and I found myself living his experiences with him. I particularly like the way his relationships develop over the course of the novel and the positive ending. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars I couldn't put it down 16 Jan. 2015
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Hooray for a zombie book that avoids the usual misogynist rubbish. The characters are three dimensional and interesting The plot is fast moving, avoiding the trap of creating a hero without fault, the author instead offers us a protagonist who has to struggle to overcome his own daemons, as well as those who now inhabit this post apocalyptic world.

Good story, Worth the read, I like the idea behind it that perhaps there are worse things to fear than the Zombie's\victims.
