Is the drive size of this 1" A/F (Across Flats) and thus will fit a Standard 1" socket or is it OEM just for Park Tools hex wrenches like SR11 etc? 24 Sep 2014
I just use a standard adjustable spanner as you need to use a chain whip with the other hand in the opposite direction or the freewheel will stop it unfastening
Does this tool have a hole in the base to allow cassette removal without having to remove the axle? 12 Aug 2014
There is a hole in the base. However, I removed the axle when I took my cassette off so I don't know if that's what the hole is for.
Measuring the hexagonal head with a gauge, it's a shade over 25mm (25.3mm) and, somewhat surprisingly in this metric age, spot on 1 inch. I have used an adjustable spanner! It has a central hole but this is round not square so as to fit a ratchet wrench.
