Product Description

Review

This book with its 150 images can easily be tucked into your pocket, and is a great snapshot of the cities walls which shows some of the finest artists who come from all over the world to leave their distinctive mark. It's presented as you would see it, if you were walking the streets of the French capital yourself. --Magik City January 2012

Product Description

Next to New York and London, Paris has always been a major destination for street artists and aficionados. Multicultural and sophisticated, it is a city made for art of all kinds. Nowhere is the pulse of creativity more apparent than in its street art. Charged with colour, humour and social commentary, the 150 images captured in this book represent an open-air museum whose canvases are perpetually transformed. From the city centre to the outer banlieues, from stencil and spray paint to stickers, this collection reveals the creative energy fueling the Paris underground art scene.

Lazy Eye Candy 21 Sep 2008
By Daniel Lobo - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
Very weak approach to street art in Paris. It's a small collection of about 100 images. Pictures are fine but lack context, neighborhoods are not identified, an effort to identify artist is not quite there either. But most importantly it lacks any explanation, narrative, local context, history... Nah, lazy effort to barely illustrate some instances of what has happened in Paris... What a difference with the Berlin guide I posted about earlier.
