I bought this book just before visiting Paris in April. It was very informative, containing just the right amount of information. It is a great size as it is light enough and small enough so you don't mind carrying it around with you (some of guides I have bought in the past have been so heavy!) My group stuck to the top ten things to see as we were only there for a couple of days. It was ideal! It has a few maps and underground map too which were very helpful.

My wife and I recently visited Paris on a five day tour. I had purchased the book some weeks before travelling and found it to be the best travel book that I have ever bought. Needless to say that by following the tips in the book we saw far more of Paris than we have seen on other visits to this beautiful city.

I never travel without either the full DK travel book or their Top Ten because no one does it better. Although I was in Paris alone I felt more informed than locals due to this book. Astounding tips, photos, and descriptions. The Top Ten will help you whittle down the many sights to fit the length of your trip but I suggest buying the full travel guide to France as a companion. It will inspire loads of future trips throughout the country.

handy, cheap, but too basic!
It is handy and practical, but I would not recommend this book to those who have visited Paris on more then one occasion, as it is very basic with information and maps. Read more

Very good book, all the important sights are nicely described. It's small enough to fit into a pocket or a small bag which makes it ideal to carry it around.
