I don't think that I am the right person to write a review. My English is very bad. But you asked me , and I give an answer:
Vidhu Vinod Chopra is a very, very good filmmaker. The three actors,Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff are a splendid triumvirat. All wants the best, and all makes the worst. Fate plays with, no escape. It must not be everytime, but sometimes I am happy, when I can say to me: That's nice, East meets West on a gentle way. Since now I thougt always, there must be Eastpeople and Westpeople.
The film Parinda electricised me, because I heared suddenly western classic music. One melody is for the dangerous parts and an other for the bright moments, when the two lovebirds have there meetings. This symbiotic situation in this film, the indian story, together with the western classic music, blow me away. That's not only beautiful, no, it is devine. I love classic music, but I have no music brain. When the film was over, I read all names . I wanted to know, who are the composers? I know the music very well, but I didn't find the names of the composers. Now I started to find out the names of this masterpieces. I have a great collection of classic CDs, and now I started the search. Three melodies are in Parinda. Finaly I found the dark one. It is the obscure part of the Finlandia from Jan Sibelius. A little bit later I found the bright one. It is the second movement out of the Symphony No. 9 "from the New World" from Antonin Dvorak. The third melody, the small one-uff-I am still searching. Nothing is written in the last part. Everybody who loves classic music should look and listen this film. Parinda gives a lot of emotional pictures with the absolutly right music for all the special scenes. For me it is the perfect symbiosis and lift up the film to a masterpiece.
Who ever read my lines, I must say, it made me a very great pleasure. But I don't think I was useful. It's up to you to cancel my writings, but---- I have written!!
