Kilner La Parfait storage jars are perfect for storing any kind of food over short or long periods of time. The use of rubber seals and metal clasps allow the jars to be completely air tight, which prevents air contaminants getting to the food. The jars can be used to store a whole range of foods from dry pasta, spices, herbs, rice and preserves. Key Features Cliptop the metal clasp ensures that the lid is held down tightly against the rubber seal this prevents any transferal of air between the jar contents and the outside. Rubber Seal is easily removable, so resetting the jar seal is quick and easy.

I have bought 4 of these jars and on 2 of them the glass has broken due to weakness of the strength of the glass at the clip. The first one i did not notice immediately which was extremely dangerous as it contained white sugar and would therefore be difficult to see the small pieces of glass that had landed inside when the glass had broken.

Please be very careful if you intend to purchase a jar of this nature that it is designed using the correct strength of glass as these items are not and so considerably dangerous to use.

This arrived in double quick time wrapped in so much bubble wrap it would have had no chance of breaking. Good stuff. This Kilner jar is smaller than I expected but that's my fault (or my husbands for telling me I didn't need a larger one). I want to use this for preserving lemons so I might have to buy another one.... no problem, at this price, a real bargain!
