Parcel Safe is an innovative, yet simple solution to a very common problem. How many times have you ordered something and instead of it being delivered to your door you find a 'sorry we missed you' card on your doormat? With Parcel Safe you can be safe in the knowledge that any items you´ve ordered are safe, secure and waiting for you on your return home, meaning no more inconvenient trips to the local sorting depot!

Convenient secure lockable box for all your parcels: Parcel Safe is ideal for anyone shopping online or through mail order catalogues. Parcel Safe is ideally sized to securely hold books, DVDs, clothes, shoes and many other items. Each unit is produced from robust mild sheet steel and goes through a 14 stage environmentally friendly painting and anti-rusting process, meaning your packages are thoroughly protected from the elements.

Parcel Safe uses an 'Easy Lock' system. Once any parcels are deposited, the delivery person simply twists the lock to safely secure the contents. For added piece of mind the lock has approx. 1,000 different combinations and a car style ignition cover to prevent dirt entering the lock mechanism.

Parcel Safe is quick and easy to install, each one comes with just about everything you´ll need including an ‘Easy Fit’ template, screws, wall plugs and even a masonry drill bit.

Once mounted on an exterior wall of your home, a delivery person can deposit any packages too large for your letterbox into Parcel Safe and secure the lid using the ‘Easy Fit’ function. On your return simply unlock Parcel Safe with the keys provided and your parcel is waiting!

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the Parcel Safe look out of place on the front of my house?
The box has been specifically designed to not look out of place wherever it is fitted. However with the unique letterbox & window stickers that are provided you have the option of fitting to the side/rear of the house or even the garage. The stickers guide the delivery person to the parcel safe!

How secure is the Parcel Safe?
Added security has been taken into consideration and the parcel safe is fitted with a 6 lever self locking hasp style lock. This enables up to 1,000 different lock combinations. The lock interior has also been re-tooled in brass with a car ignition style lock cover to reduce the chances of dirt and dust entering the lock.

Could the box get stolen?
The fixing kit provided includes 4 screws, wall plugs, spacers and even a masonry drill bit, which enables the box to be fitted securely to a suitable wall. Testing has proved that it would be extremely difficult to remove the box from the wall. Part of the testing included trying to force the box off a wall, sitting a 20 stone man on the lid and various kick tests. The box survived all of these!

Does the box just come in one colour?
Yes, green. In order to keep the retail cost low the parcel safe is only available for now in one colour. This colour proved the most popular during extensive market research and product trials and fits in well with both brick and stone built homes.

What are the dimensions and weight of the Parcel Safe?
The parcel safe is 58cm in width, 50cm in height and 24cm in depth with a capacity of 40 Litres. A fully boxed parcel safe weighs 9.5KG. This includes the fixing kit and masonry drill bit.

If my box is broken into is it covered by insurance?
For your peace of mind you should find that many Household Insurance Policies will classify the Parcel Safe as an outbuilding and therefore you will be covered. Please check with your own Insurance Company that this is so in your case. If it isn't, then they should be able to extend your Policy for a small payment.

The two people who complained about snags - well, yes, if you need to give a signature, you've had it, and yes, if you get two different parcels from two different carriers, you'll still miss one of them. (But at least you got one! before you had this, you would have had two trips to two separate depots.) To those I'll add a third - the delivery person who is too thick to see this huge great box and STILL puts a card through the door - I've had one of those too. No solution is going to be perfect. Very impressed at the kit that comes with the box, absolutely everything you need to attach it to the wall, bar the electric drill, obviously. A second person to assist with actually putting it on the wall is to be recommended, but once the bolts are tightened it seems very solid and secure. Of course, as someone mentioned, it is a one use per day facility, so if you do get a second delivery then the box will be locked, but I can't believe many people get regular multiple deliveries, and if you do, well, buy another box! As an opposite to the problem some people mention of their delivery people ignoring the box, my postman got so carried away the other day that he put a small packet in it that would very easily have gone through the letterbox - not a problem as long as he doesn't do it on a day when I get a big parcel later on...maybe I should put a flowchart on the door - Will item fit through letterbox? If yes, put it through, if no then see parcel safe. Overall, a very useful piece of kit for all people who, like me, prefer to do most of their shopping online and by mail order but who are out at work all day. The only problem I have encountered is that none of my parcel carriers will accept the number on the box in place of a signature, which is a bit of a pain - had an argument with a delivery chap the other day about it - but that is not the fault of the box itself. Its a good quality steel box... its not Fort Knox but you'd need a pair of bolt cutters or a very sturdy crowbar to break into it. Its very easy to install & the template makes positioning the holes very simple. Getting a second person to support it when you fasten the bolts is to be recommended. Unusually for most 'self install' items it comes with a very good quality 10mm masonry drill bit and a sturdy spanner for fixing the bolts. All you need is a decent power drill and a bit of wall- it took me 15 minutes start to finish to mount. In its first week one courier has left a parcel in it and used the 6 digit number for a signature and a couple of royal mail parcels have been dropped in it too. I suspect positioning is important- mine is just to the left of my front door and I used ALL the stickers to direct the postman too it... frankly if you mount it round the side of your house the chances of it being used will go right down. The fact that some delivery drivers are too lazy to use it isn't the fault of the product which is well thought out. Most couriers have a contact number/redelivery option and if you specify that you want your parcel dropped in the safe then they probably will oblige.
