From the opening chords of "Selling Jesus" to the closing notes of "Rise Up", Skunk Anansie do not fail to entertain. Skin has an amazing voice and you feel her emotion as she sings about racial injustices and other social issues on this amazing album. "Weak" is a fantastic ballad, "I can dream" is a super charged slice of punk pop that Skunk Anansie deliver so well. This album is simply a must for any Skunk Anansie fan to own.

Being the proud owner of the later two skunk anansie albums i decided to buy the first one. i was a little dubious at first as i only could recall hearing one song (weak) but immediately when i listened to it i was very pleased with my new purchase. there are some real rock ballads on this album and skins strong lyrics and powerful voice are done justice to in tracks such as Intellectualise My Blackness, Charity and Weak. a gentler track can be found in 100 Ways To Be a Good Girl but there are no weak songs on this album, all are great without exception and i would definately recommend this to any skunk anansie fan.

This album should be an integral part of any metal music fans collection. Tracks such as 'Weak' and 'Charity' can be considered two of the best tracks the band ever produced, whilst most other songs on the album follow not far behind. Skin's talent as a vocalist combines with the genius of Ace on the lead guitar, to make this album truely a classic of the 1990s.

I first discovered S.A. through there simply superb "Live in London" acoustic set. And as a consequense have been sampling their back catalogue and this is the best I've heard so far. While I prefer the acoustic versions of the songs. try "Charity" it'sgood here but it's better there; there is no denying that this a belter of an album. And that voice, that VOICE.

An absolutely brilliant album from a band that never fail to deliver banging songs with Skin making the lyrics come to life. I lived this when it was first released and returned to it recently and felt the same tingles years later that I had when I heard it for the first time.

Bought this as my original CD (purchased the day the album was released) has long since gone missing. However slightly disappointed that half the MP3 album are live tracks which is not indicated in the track listings.

Great album none the less.
