Arguably the peak of AOR/Pomp rockers Styx,a stunning loosely based conceptual disc surrounding the old Paradise Theatre.I originally bought this the day it came out on pristine laser etched disc- aah the 80'S and their gimmicks.
A perfect album from Styx straddled the rock and pop sides to the band,on the one hand rockers like the superb 'Rockin The Paradise','Snowblind' & 'Half Penny...' all highlighted how heavy they could be and the guitar work of Shaw & Young simply stunning. The pop/aor side was beautifully covered with the likes of 'Too Much Time....' and the fabulous'Nothing Ever Goes...',how true, hit single Best of Times' easily rivals anything Journey/Foriegner produced,a fantastic album from a sadly overlooked band, one of the best albums from 1980.
