Arguably the peak of AOR/Pomp rockers Styx,a stunning loosely based conceptual disc surrounding the old Paradise Theatre.I originally bought this the day it came out on pristine laser etched disc- aah the 80'S and their gimmicks.
A perfect album from Styx straddled the rock and pop sides to the band,on the one hand rockers like the superb 'Rockin The Paradise','Snowblind' & 'Half Penny...' all highlighted how heavy they could be and the guitar work of Shaw & Young simply stunning.The pop/aor side was beautifully covered with the likes of 'Too Much Time....' and the fabulous'Nothing Ever Goes...',how true,hit single Best of Times' easily rivals anything Journey/Foriegner produced,a fantastic album from a sadly overlooked band,one of the best albums from 1980.

Bought this when I was 18, nearly 30 yrs ago. Wanted to listen to snow-blind again

I just love this album. I have it on LP but fancied it for my i-pod. This is classic Styx and the sound is still mesmorising. Punchy balanced with good ballads and proper hard rock. Must be one of the all time classics. Sit back and enjoy!

Styx at its best
This album is beautifully made. In my opinion, one of the masterpieces which is sadly underestimated. Give a try..
