I read this the first time before my AFF course. I read it the second time after I achieved my A-license and only then understood how great this book is. I would say a must for those who wants to replace insecurity with knowledge about canopy flight. Brian Germains experience shines through in the way he explains things in understandable terms.

I was very impressed with this book. It explains everything from basic aerodynamics(necessary for really _understanding_ the information that follows) to basic canopy flight to advanced maneuvers. Everything is explained in a simple yet accurate way.
This is quite simply a must-read for anyone planning to fly a canopy loaded over 1.0 lbs/sqft.

Up Your Canopy Flying

This book gave me much more information than I was expecting. I am now trying out many different ways of flying my canopy. The mental prep part of the book has helped me to understand and prepare myself mentally to be able to take in much more information now then what I was previously able to. I will be using the book to continue too bring my sky diving up to new higher levels.

Extremely well written and fun to read, Brian Germain provides a wonderful insight into ram-air parachute design and flight characteristics. This book contains information that the majority or canopy pilots today would find very useful. Whether you have 25 or 1,500 jumps, this book has something for you. Germain's writings are also as fun to read as they are useful.
