At first listen, it's fairly generic indie art-rock with a memorable hook, but thanks to the power of the remix, there may be a future for Liverpool trio, The Delta Fiasco.
They're working in a similar field to Editors with hints of The Teardrop Explodes, which may explain the added declamatory vocal stylings but it's when they let Ladyton loose on a remix that things really come to life for the song. It takes a fair to middling song, strips out the angst and pumps it up into something rather otherwordly and a bit dirty. T'other remix goes a bit doof-doof on yer ass, so stick to the Ladytron one.
The main B-side 'The Actor' is just traditional bloke rock, but the promise of the remixes shows what a fresh eye and ear can do for music. Hey, it worked for Primal Scream!
