P. R. Jones says:
No idea if this is the fault of Amazon or the sellers. On a number of occasions I have ordered used hardback books through amazon only to receive a paperback. The latest I received today. I know the items can be returned but that is not the point. More hastle to return the book then find another copy in hardback!
This link is a point in case: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/0316640727/ref=tmm_hrd_used_olp_sr?ie=UTF8&qid=1293107348&sr=1-2&condition=used

A fair proportion of the books are paperback although this is under the description of a hardback.
