Product Description

Paper Marriage starring Gary Kemp and Joanna Trepechinska. Alicja is a young Polish woman stranded in the North of England without money or a job, in desperation she turns to the first man she meets, Aiden a petty crook and struggling artist and startles him with a proposal of marriage. Before long Alicja is threatened with deportation by the Immigration office , at the same time Aiden is being terrorized by local gangsters, they find themselves drawn together and on the run. With a special appearance by Rita Tushingham.

When i first heard of this film, straight away i thought 'Green Card'. I was pleasently surprised when i watched it. Initially i bought the video to add to my Gary Kemp collection without the intention of ever watching it. I was touched by the romantic storyline between Alicja and Aiden; the two main charecters. It started off a bit slow but turned into a hilarious misadventure that crossed the border to my heart! I was very moved by it. Excellent!
