THE STORY

The year is 2008. Financial titan Beirsdorf Klein has just imploded in a
cloud of its own greed, and former London golden boy Michael Berg is
being played. Big time. What Michael doesn't know, however, is that the
same shadowy fig- ure behind Beirsdorf's collapse is about to tear his
life apart. But when he wakes up in a Sussex Garden flophouse with no
idea how he got there, the one thing he does know is that the man
responsible is going to pay. Embarking on a quest for vengeance that
will take him from the dark halls of Eastern Europe's greatest power
brokers to the shining lights of America's Capitol Hill, Michael meets
and joins forces with a mysterious Hungarian woman named Tereza.

Suffering from a similar past, Tereza will stop at nothing to find-and
kill-the man they know as Rivello. A financial genius bent on
destroying anyone and everyone necessary, Rivello is about to become the
richest man in the world. The only thing in his way is the Bilderberg
Group, a worldwide clandestine society of high profile leadership that
controls politics and the global economy from behind their cloak of
secrecy. Now caught between Rivello and the Bilderberg Group, Michael
and Tereza must stay one step ahead of both and eliminate their target,
or Rivello's plan could bring all of their lives to a crashing halt.

3.0 out of 5 stars Modern day tale 16 Sept. 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
The author has cleverly used the current worldwide financial meltdown in this book.

Characters abound and develop as the novel races between north America and eastern Europe.

An interesting insight into what underhand relationships may exist at the top of world governments and institutions - as always showing the less scrupulous, corrupt and dangerously ambitious control freaks.

No obvious hero to return and save us from the next financial disaster.

4.0 out of 5 stars Unfinished business at the end? 14 April 2013
By Frenchie TOP 1000 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I have enjoyed reading the Paper Factory very much. It is a political/financial thriller where most of the top players are corrupt (if not all). It is a 'serious' read, however, towards the end, I was starting to lose a bit of interest as some of the actions and plots were getting over the top, in my opinion, for this kind of book and a bit predictable.
I got a bit confused by the ending, did Teresa double crossed Michael or was she true to her word that she did not want any of the money? I thought she might have a thing for him. I felt there was some unfinished business there. I am sure he definitely liked her.
I would recommend the Paper Factory to anyone who likes a good conspiracy theory and that the people in government are the bad guys.

4.0 out of 5 stars A decent read 15 Jan. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Although I found some of the characters difficult to remember and place the beginning I still enjoyed the book. Good read, kept me entertained as it got better and better as it went. Great ending, will say no more

5.0 out of 5 stars The Paper Factory 9 Nov. 2012
By Emma B
Format:Kindle Edition
I have finally read my first Ebook and what a story to start on. The Paper Factory is a crackin read. A thriller set in the world of high finance, banking and politics. Probably the best thriller I've read in a long time. Lets hope Mr. Sinclair is busy working on his next installment.

The Paper Factory is a political thriller taking us half way around the world.

Is there romance, danger and excitement? Do we become attached to our hero and worry about his safety? Does the outcome matter to us in the end?
Yes to all of the above.
There is a lot going on in the book with Russian mafia, the US Government and well portrayed female characters (a rare gift for a male writer.)

I enjoyed the textured descriptions of the Russian Lake, Poland, London, Hungary and New York as well as the feel of opulence and money described with elegant and evocative detail as Mr Sinclair treats us to a thriller worthy of the genre.

This book was recommended to me by a friend and I now pass on that recommendation to you.

If you like multi-layered action writing with plenty of nail biting drama, bullets flying, cars screeching and punchy dialogue, then this could be your next read.
