I must admit I was a doubter. but I am pleased to say that I followed the instructions and now have my first ever pair of perfectly fitting pants. In addition I now understand why all my other attempts failed. I am so delighted. It now all makes sense.

A great book for understanding pattern alterations and achieving the best fit possible for not 6'2", 8% body fat people.
Although the book is written for women, men's sewers can also find some good tricks in it.
I just love the way it's illustrated and the ease of following instructions.

I am a teach-myself-to-sew person as I do not have any person or educational center near me to help me out. And there is so much information out there on sewing! But I find most of it is geared towards more skilled levels or more generic information. I had decided to stick to one type of garment to develop my skills with; decided on pants, since I am hard to fit in that area, and bounced all over the place to find information. I was pleased, after much searching, to find this easy to follow book on pattern alteration for pants. Once I master my pants, I plan to use their other books to increase my skills in other areas.
