About the Author

Pantone Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary of X-Rite, Inc.) is the world-renowned authority on colour. For more than 45 years Pantone has been inspiring design professionals with products, services, and technology for the colourful exploration and expression of creativity. In 1963, Lawrence Herbert, Pantone's founder, created the Pantone Matching System, a book of standardized colour in fan format-an innovative system for identifying, matching and communicating colours to solve the problems associated with producing accurate colour matches in the graphic arts community. Pantone has since expanded its colour matching systems to include other colour-critical industries including digital, fashion, home, plastics, architecture, interiors, and paint. Today, the Pantone name is known worldwide as the standard language for accurate colour communication.

I love postcards. Working in the creative industries I was looking for something 'designer themed' and this has given me just what I wanted. There are so many of them! You send a couple, then keep some to decorate your office, or even draw extra doodles on them with sharpies, I bet you'll think of many other ways of using this beautiful collection!

If you're using these as colour swatches then don't buy them,

If you want a box of post cards at under 10p a post card then this is for you.
They come in a lovely box and the post cards themselves have a good weight to them

I think to recall, I read a review about this article, before I purchased it and it was said in there, that the
Pantone numbers are not on the cards - that is not correct. The numbers are on, and exactly that makes the cards
quiet very much wonderful. Obviously in 100 cards cannot be ALL Pantone Colours, but one can do all sort of things with
them : Painting, drawing, whatever on them, before sending. Brilliant, I love them !

Simple, colourful postcards make for a great piece of art work when stuck to the wall! I now look at my wall and am instantly inspired by noticing a different colour each time.

Postcard boxes seem to be the new 'in' thing these days. I was interested in this Pantone box because I could use them in making some collage abstracts but my interest rather evaporated when I opened the lid to find that the cards were really enlarged Pantone chips rather than a solid colour cards. I think it would have been much better if the logo, colour and number were on the reverse.

The card is nice and stiff and the back does have a STAMP HERE graphic and three white lines out of a light grey tint to write an address on. If you knew a hundred friends they could be sent a colour each and become your Pantone Pals.

Still, the box is cheap enough for the cards to be enjoyed by kids to create a craft project or used for a colour coordinated card sculpture.

I would wish was updated with new colours like the last colour of the year. But I knew it was like this, so, I'm happy with it.
