About the Author

Pantone Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary of X-Rite, Inc.) is the world-renowned authority on colour. For more than 45 years Pantone has been inspiring design professionals with products, services, and technology for the colourful exploration and expression of creativity. In 1963, Lawrence Herbert, Pantone's founder, created the Pantone Matching System, a book of standardized colour in fan format-an innovative system for identifying, matching and communicating colours to solve the problems associated with producing accurate colour matches in the graphic arts community. Pantone has since expanded its colour matching systems to include other colour-critical industries including digital, fashion, home, plastics, architecture, interiors, and paint. Today, the Pantone name is known worldwide as the standard language for accurate colour communication.

Love the product! 23 Oct 2011
Format:Card Book
Simple, colourful postcards make for a great piece of art work when stuck to the wall! I now look at my wall and am instantly inspired by noticing a different colour each time.

Cheap as chips 17 Jun 2011
By Robin Benson TOP 100 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:Card Book
Postcard boxes seem to be the new 'in' thing these days. I was interested in this Pantone box because I could use them in making some collage abstracts but my interest rather evaporated when I opened the lid to find that the cards were really enlarged Pantone chips rather than a solid colour cards. I think it would have been much better if the logo, colour and number were on the reverse.

The card is nice and stiff and the back does have a STAMP HERE graphic and three white lines out of a light grey tint to write an address on. If you knew a hundred friends they could be sent a colour each and become your Pantone Pals.

Still, the box is cheap enough for the cards to be enjoyed by kids to create a craft project or used for a colour coordinated card sculpture.

Not bad 10 July 2011

I was a little disappointed with the finish on these - the colors don't come off very vibrant. But you do get 100 postcards in 100 colors.

If you love colors... 31 Aug 2011

Got these for my wife (who is a designer) as a 'just cuz' present and she loves them. You could even make a nice collage out of them if you're into that kind of thing...

Great gift for print designers! 1 July 2011
By ohiodesigner - Published on Amazon.com

I ordered the Pantone postcards to use to decorate my studio. As a graphic designer I have to say I love them! Years of working in print design some of the Pantone swatches have quite a bit of meaning to them. I came back to buy more for gifts for my design friends.
