5.0 out of 5 stars 3 years in the making...worth it! 25 July 2009
Format:Audio CD
Album's this good are rare. Evolving from their debut, 'Here Where Nothing Grows', Ocean have added a 'post-rock/metal' element to their doom sound, and to great effect. At times crushing, at others uplifting (seriously!), this is a great album, but one which I think a lot of people even in the metal community probably won't come across, which is a shame. A modern day doom classic.

I love this album. If doom/drone is not your thing then steer clear. The building intensity and heaviness that it presents as you listen works perfectly. Some might say its wave after of wave of sonic punishment; I say thats a good thing.
