Pettsson and Findus are marvellous characters and this story is one of their best. Starting with the marvellous premise that birthdays should be celebrated three times a year, because it's more fun that way, Pettsson and Findus have a hilarious celebration, and if the townspeople find them eccentric, so much the worse for them!
