Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

Panasonic CQ-DFX783 is MOSFET 50W X 4 high-power CD Player/RDS Receiver with CD changer control.Panasonic car stereos can play more than just CDs. In fact, not only are all industry leading Panasonic systems also compatible with CD-Rs and CD-RWs, some even handle the convenience of MP3 and WMA formats.MP3 or MPEG layer 3 is a file format that compresses CD audio tracks, allowing you to fit 10 to 14 times more music on a disc. Download MP3s from the Web, or convert your favorite CD tracks to MP3 format, then burn your choice onto a CD-R or CDRW in just minutes. Panasonic also allows you to navigate files and folders as you would on a PC, making it so much easier to find the track you're looking for.Windows Media Audio files (WMA) achieve the same high-level quality as CDs, yet occupy only half the size of comparable MP3 files. This allows you to store much, much more of your favorite music without having to upgrade the memory capacity of your system. One of the great benefits of MP3 and WMA formats is the ease with which favorite songs can be retrieved. The equivalent of up to 10 CDs can be managed in groups and folders in the same manner as files are sorted on a PC. What's more, Panasonic systems are capable of managing an incredible 254 folders containing up to 999 files. And in order to make use even easier, operation is simplified through use of a scrolling display that switches between folder and file names, and artist names and track titles, with up to 64 characters for each entry depending on the model.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool Blue, 27 Jan 2004
This review is from: Panasonic cd/mp3 player (CQ-DFX783) (Electronics)
The title is called cool blue because that’s what I have nick named mine. If you are looking for an MP3 and CD player for your car then this is the piece of kit YOU NEED. It’s the perfect partner for anyone. Looks are always nice in a partner and this definitely has them. It can only be described as the Cindy Crawford or Tom Cruise of the CD/MP3 player world. The digital display is so easy to use and understand even the most un-technically gifted could understand and operate it, and it is so clear you can read it even in the back seat. The silver/chrome front goes well with any interior and will blow any passengers words right out of their mouth. But looks aren’t everything; your perfect partner will have to have the brains and personality to match. The DFX 783 even has that; its anti-shock system is impeccable. I have driven over speed bumps, kerbs and hit the occasional pot hole and it hasn't even dreamed of skipping. It comes complete with a removable front panel too for extra security because it’s nice when a partner brings protection. It looks good, it plays good, it looks good, it plays good and did I mention it looks good. The only thing this has wrong with it is that it doesn’t have a pair of legs so I can't take it out to dinner. There maybe the petrol expense of your car been increased to as you will just be wanting to drive around and listening to your favorite tracks. The MP3 enables you to have 10 CD's worth of music on just one disk so enjoy. There are some MP3 and CD players out there slightly cheaper but I am a Panasonic man and you pay for quality with this product and get it. YOU KNOW YOU WANT IT.
