First thing that struck me about this battery was its weight - the original lumix battery weighs 24 grams this one weighs 16 grams: fits perfectly, seems to work fine, after 15 minutes continuous video recording the batt indicator on my DMC-TZ5 had gone down one bar, two thirds the weight - lasts about two thirds the time of the original, for the price a good backup battery.

I bought 3 spare batteries as I was going on holiday as I am very trigger happy when it comes to taking pictures. They worked fine and always having one charging when I was out and about meant I didn't miss any shots. Spares are a real necessity especially if you like taking video-clips.

Good alternative
I don't believe the charge lasts as well as the original Panasonic battery, but it is quite important to have a second battery to swap as the other runs out - this works perfectly... Read more
