The wide 178° viewing angle* ensures clear images even when viewed from an angle. The backlight's wide transmission aperture enhances the contrast between light and dark, and improves motion-image response. *Measured at an angle where the contrast ratio is 10:1 or higher. Enjoy realistic starlit skies right in your living room. Improvements in panel contrast and scene-adaptive contrast gamma correction have achieved a high contrast ratio of 20,000:1. The backlight tuning area is also expanded to achieve deeper blacks.
VIERA Link allows interconnected operation of various AV devices using only the VIERA remote control, by simply connecting the devices to each other by an HDMI cable. VIERA Link performance has been further enhanced with LUMIX digital camera connection. By connecting a new LUMIX camera that has an HDMI output terminal to VIERA, you can use the VIERA remote to control the playback of images stored on the camera.
It's easy to view full-HD images with the SD card slot. Watch and show your photos and motion images right after you take them. Simply insert an SD Memory card into VIERA to display photos and full-HD videos on the large screen. You can also choose from among 3 types of background music and 4 display effects.
V-Audio Surround gives depth-sound-image effect by early-reflection data based on actual room measurement, that is generated from digital signal processor.

I am very, very pleased with this television.
Before I bought the Panasonic I had a fairly cheap 32" TV (a Vistron), which was OK, but the Panasonic is much nicer. The picture is bright and clear and the on screen menus are easy to use. I use it with a Panasonic DVD recorder and the two work together very well. I think you'd have to spend a lot more to significantly improve on this TV.
But ...
There is a very slight hum audible when the sound is turned right down. A friend who claims to know such things tells me it's transformer noise. You can only hear it when the sound is off and even the quietest sounds mask it, but I thought I'd mention it.
Lastly, if you're using the TV with a PC note that the highest resolution available through the PC connector is 1280x768. The display looks fine at this resolution, but obviously it's a bit disappointing given that the TV resolution is 1920x1080. If your PC has a DVI video output you can use a DVI to HDMI cable to connect the PC to one of the HDMI sockets. I did try this, and it does work, though you have to turn overscan off, and the display still isn't as sharp as a proper PC screen would be. I ended up going back to the PC connector and 1280x768, mostly because I can't read anything smaller from my armchair!

This is the best purchase I have made in a very long time. Fantastic value from Amazon saving me over £150 from the discounted high street price. Delivered very quickly and safely. This is a great telly with crisp clear picture and sound. Miles better quality than the 32" Acer it replaced and also the 47" Hitachi I purchased last year for another room. Plenty of connectivity and blue ray dvd picture is mindblowing. Use a decent scart for your skyplus box as this will enhance the quality of the picture even more. Friends have commented on what a fantastic picture is has.
