The D25 Series includes a DVB-S tuner for Freesat HD and a DVB-T2 tuner for Freeview HD providing you with a convenient, subscription free way of watching HD contents like sport, as well as your favourite soaps, dramas and documentaries in full HD glory wherever you are in the UK*.
The IPS panel, which is known for its wide viewing angle and excellent light transmittance, is now further enhanced with a bright, energy-saving LED backlight. Images do not fade when viewed from an angle, and contrast is higher than in previous IPS models in spite of using less power. The IPS LED LCD TV offers superb colour rendering and also contributes to the display's slim design. Even fast-moving scenes are displayed sharply and clearly. With a 50Hz video signal input, Intelligent Frame Creation Pro makes 100 frames/second from 50 frames/second. This increases the frame count to allow natural frame-to-frame transitions, for smooth motion images with high resolution. VIERA also uses motion focus technology to greatly enhance resolution.
Both high contrast and energy-saving efficiency have been achieved in the IPS LED LCD TV by combining the IPS panel, which is known for its wide viewing angle, with a bright, energy-efficient LED backlight. Even dark scenes like night skies are naturally rendered with delicate shades of black. The Intelligent Scene Controller further boosts the image quality.
The wide 178°* viewing angle ensures clear images even when viewed from an angle. The backlight's wide transmission aperture enhances the contrast between light and dark, and improves motion-image response. *Measured at an angle where the contrast ratio is 10:1 or higher.

Wonderful TV at a great Price,

After a load of comparisons of manufacturer & supplier I finally ordered my new Panasonic Viera TX-L37D25B with Freeview & Freesat HD from Amazon. It was ordered at 12:30 one day & arrived at 10:00 the next! It was so easy to fit the stand & cable up. Also once powered up, the TV just about set itself up. It was very impressive. After a few days I cabled up the Freesat HD option to my Sky dish. Now I have free HD on the BBC & ITV HD channels.
This is a great looking TV with a fantastic picture, even on those channels without HD.

Good but not perfect,

This is the first LCD TV I've owned and I really expected it to have a nice picture, but with some motion blur on fast images (particularly football games). Well, I've had no such trouble - a real surprise. The picture is excellent, lovely colours, sharp images and no trouble when things get moving quickly. Its genuinely better than my old CRT. My only gripe has been two light blooms that are visible on the right hand edge of the screen when that side of the screen is dark but there are bright images elsewhere on screen. However, that's a fairly minor niggle as I only notice them when I'm specifically looking for them - they've not detracted from my viewing yet.

Pros:
The physical quality is first rate, picture quality is superb, and the external interface is excellent with 4 hdmi connects and others. The sound quality is good and the product looks and is generally designed well. Cons: The satellite connector is a little high-up the rear of the tv and should be lower down. The picture quality adjustment options are not all grouped together on the menu and take a little navigating. The manual and onscreen adjustment options are complicated. Take sometime to adjust the picture to how you like it, once done, you will not fault this tv. I researched numerous tv's before buying and do not regret my decision. My neighbour lent me a blueray disk to try the picture on, and he was likewise convinced as to the quality. Score 96% hence, FIVE STAR
