The IPS Alpha LED LCD offers superb contrast and also contributes to the display's slim design. LEDs achieve high brightness with low power consumption. Our next-generation, high-efficiency LCD was created by using an LED for the backlight and combining it with the IPS Alpha panel, which features high light transmission efficiency. By maximising inherent device advantages, we have achieved highly robust black reproduction while using less power. It's easy to view full-HD images with the SD card slot. Watch and show your photos and motion images right after you take them. Simply insert an SD Memory Card into VIERA to display photos and full-HD videos on the large screen. You can also enjoy special background music, slideshow frames and transition effects. VIERA Link allows the interlinked operation of various AV devices using only the VIERA remote control, by simply connecting the devices to each other by an HDMI cable. In Game Mode, quicker image response increases the enjoyment of video games when a game console is connected to the TV. What's more, VIERA produces the dark images in video games more clearly. This mode works with the anti-image retention (wobbling) function, too. This is a great television and has the added bonus of Freeview HD built-in and so there is no need for a set top box taking up space. The picture in standard and high definition is of brilliant quality and so is the sound. I would recommend this television to anyone looking for a small screen with HD built-in and the usual Panasonic quality.

I am thinking on purchasing the TV in the heading of these reviews, namely the Panasonic TX-L42E3. After having read a number of these reviews I started to wonder why some of the opinions were so radically different from others being given, "then" I noticed that Amazon seems to have included virtually any size of TV under the same brand name in the review list, as I have seen 24" / 19" / 32" / as well as the 42" that I was interested in being mentioned.
The point about all this being, that the screens as well as various other technical aspects of these sets are totally different from each other meaning that a person has to scroll down the reports given to pick out only the model they want to assess as possibly being suitable for their purpose.
I really think this practice should end as its totally misleading.
