LED Display Technology: LED (light-emitting diode) TVs are actually a type of LCD TV. LCD HDTVs use standard compact fluorescent tubes to illuminate the picture. LED HDTVs, on the other hand, replace those fluorescent tubes with backlighting technology. LED TVs might therefore say "LCD display" on the packaging--this is perfectly normal. 5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended! 19 Jun 2013

This Panasonic TX-L24X6B TV was originally described on Amazon as 1080HD Ready. Upon receipt I discovered that this was incorrect, it was not 1080. I advised the supplier who upon investigation agreed with me and prevailed upon Amazon to change the description. Having said that it is only a 24 inch screen and therefore the slightly inferior resolution is not noticeable so I am happy to keep it. The picture quality is excellent with good control over colour rendition. Sound quality is as you would expect from small speakers but is better than average for a small TV. Setting up the Wi-Fi for my passcode was a little tricky but was soon sorted. That gave me access to internet features, like BBC iPlayer, Youtube, etc. There is a Smartphone App which I have downloaded onto my iPhone and it seems to work well enough except that the swipe and share feature of transferring photos, etc, to a USB stick plugged in to the TV did not seem to work very well, being unreliable and not very user-friendly. I found it much easier to load the USB stick from my laptop. There are many other internet features which I have not yet explored. All in all, a fine TV and I am very pleased with it. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very nice small TV 22 Feb 2014

We are Panasonic fans.

It was easy to set up, and netflix works fine.

The picture is very good.

We bought this for our kitchen after having a previous one for our bedroom. The sound in the bedroom seems fine, but it sounded distinctly tinny in the kitchen - perhaps because of the number of hard surfaces. However, we bought some Bose computer speakers and we are now very satisfied

5.0 out of 5 stars Panasonic TX-L24X6B 12 Jan 2014

I have purchased this as a replacement bedroom TV. I previously had a 19" telly and after more than a weeks bed bound by flu I realised that the screen was a little small by todays standards as I am almost 4 metres away from the bedroom TV yet only 3m away from th elounge 42" TV.

After a lot of research I plumped for this particular telly just as Currys ran out so purchased from Amazon luckily for the same price as Currys sale. It had the size I wanted (27 would be too big for the wall between the two doors where my telly lives and had a few extra gizmos I required such as Freeview HD and network connectivity.

First off Amazon prime delivery was prompt and delivered to my long suffering neighbour and was boxed inside a generic amazon box so they don't know what has been delivered and was surrounded by packaging, so well protected. I unpacked it all and the TV stand is already separate from the TV which suits me fine as it is wall mounted. Set up of the TV took about ten minutes as I kept mis-spelling my network passwords and then the DVB picked up all my previous channels plus the Freeview HD ones.

I decided to have a play with the apps section and as mentioned elsewhere they are so slow that I won't bother with them and given that I can get all the useful ones on my phone that is no loss. I have played with the netwrok connection via the DLNA link and it has found only 2 albums, most of my photo's and none of my ripped DVDs. This could be my fault of the TV may not accepted the rips which I'm told are basically the DVD files taken off of the disk with no conversions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great TV 22 April 2014

Wanted a decent TV to mount on kitchen wall. This is just the right size and picture is excellent. Sound is what you would expect but that was not the top priority. Built in wifi is a bonus, we can now look at our holiday photos without having to huddle around a computer and a great way to share with friends etc. Neat trick to connect Ipad to TV to play youtube videos etc.

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid, no Apps, not SMART at all! 2 April 2014
This is a great TV let down by the shocking lack of Apps you can download.
No Lovefilm, No Blinkbox, No 4OD, No 5ondemand, No ITV
Only Netflix and BBC.
Furthermore when contacted Panasonic make it clear that there is NO plan to introduce them either! Completely shocking.
Inexcusable for such an expensive product that promises everything.

This is a good size and the picture is very clear. The sound is fine for its size. The first one we had developed a fault, but it was quickly changed and this one is fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb. 6 Jan 2014

Small panic when parcel arrived, thought I'd ordered a 32" by mistake, well packaged!. Once I had found the TV in amongst all the packing, simple to assemble and easy to set up. Brilliant picture, used to a 42 and 60 inch full HD and don't think this is a bad compromise on the kitchen window ledge. We bought htis solely for the kitchen and would say the sound quality is more than adequate, if it is to be your only TV and want to appreciate movie sound tracks then a soundbar might be required, but then I use a surround sound system with my 60" for movies....... Wireless Internet connection was easy (SKY broadband) and works superbly for Netflix and catchup. Recommended.
