The Ultimate Cooking Performance

The Panasonic NN-CT579SBPQ is ideal for kitchens with limited space and combines the efficiency of a microwave with the traditional browning and roasting of a conventional oven to ensure that your meal choice is endless. The convection oven offers a huge temperature range, 100-220°C, which ensures the success when cooking anything from meringues, cakes and pastries to Yorkshire Puddings and roast joints. In addition, the versatility that the Convection Oven and Grill provide, results in many greater options and methods for your preparation of food, while significantly reducing the cooking time by half to two thirds. The sleek and stylish stainless steel is not only for aesthetics but also hygiene and ease of use; it is a lot simpler to clean than other material.

SLIM DESIGN 20% Space Saving

Space in your kitchen is always at a premium, especially when preparing ingredients. Our award winning Slimline Combination Oven with a large 27 Litre Dish Capacity takes up 20% less space on the work surface than a comparable Combination Oven because we have moved the fan to the roof of the oven rather than at the back, reducing the depth of the oven by 20%.

Inverter Technology

Inverter Technology
Inverter Technology

Available on most Panasonic microwave ovens, the conventional and bulky transformer and capacitor components are replaced with a compact circuit board which provides many user-friendly benefits such as:

  • Constant Power: Most microwaves operate on constant power, when High or Full is selected. Other power levels are achieved by the microwave pulsing on and off. Panasonic Inverter technology gives constant energy on medium and low power settings – providing the perfect cooking process for your food.
  • Even Cooking: When cooking or reheating, Inverter technology ensures is heated evenly – improving texture and flavour.
  • Lighter Ovens: Microwaves using the Inverter technology weigh approximately 3kg less than a traditional microwave.

And…No more part cooked with frozen areas in the centre!

Quartz Grill

The 1300W Quartz Grill with three settings heats up instantly to brown and cook all traditionally grilled foods – ideal for today’s busy lifestyles.

Auto Programs

With 13 Auto Weight programs the user is spoilt for choice! A selection of foods can be cooked automatically by selecting from the auto-weight options available, just simply enter the weight and the correct cooking mode, saving the user having to look up the correct procedures for their food. By offering such simplicity; time and energy can be saved by optimising the microwave energies.

Great Product 11 Aug 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this product to reflect that we do not use normal oven as much since the children left home.

We have owned for about 4 weeks and we have only used our traditional oven once in that period.

it is very easy to keep an eye on the cooking since it is on the worktop and the inside is very well lit. We use the convection feature the most and the oven pre heats very quickly. We have used the combination feature for jacket potatoes and this took only 20 mins for two perfect pototoes.

It is compact on the outsize but inside this is a comparatively large machine.

I am very pleased with this purchase.

Having been the very satisfied owner of a Panasonic slimline combi which gave good almost daily service for 9 years before turntable gave out, I had no hesitation in buying a replacement from its successor range.
The first thing I noticed was that the build quality wasn't quite up to my previous oven. The 8pt grey text against stainless steel isn't great for older eyes either. The worst 'improvement' though has to be the grill which functions throughout the convection cycle with the aid of the fan. My previous model used it only as a preheat function, so I was able to bake a variety of dishes without worrying about them turning to carbon. Whatever you do, don't cook pizza on the higher shelf position or you'll end up with a blackened frisbee!
I contacted Panasonic regarding this, as I thought I had a faulty appliance but it turns out that this is the new way of convection baking and they advised me that I should cover dishes which require any length of cooking with foil after 10-15 minutes to avoid burning. I fail to see how this can be a considered improvement on the previous model, more of a production cost-cutting measure if you ask me.
The upshot is, it's still a good combi oven for most everyday dishes but if you want to bake a large cake forget it!

Excellent 30 Nov 2010
By Bill
After much searching and research I purchased the Panasonic Slimline Combination Microwave Oven, hoping I had made a good choice. I did not make the right choice, I made an excellent choice. This machine seems to do everything except whistle Dixie. If I wanted to be super critical I guess the lettering for the time settings could be a bit clearer for my tired old eyes, but that is only a minor point. Rating wise I give it 10 out of ten.
