I had to make a choice between the Sony SR55, Sony SR35 and the Panasonic SDR H40. So I went for the Panasonic as it was cheaper. OMG what a load of rubbish that was. The image quality is awful. Anything other than perfect lighting conditions and it is of no use. Too sunny and it struggles. In low light it struggles and when I say low light I mean anything indoors. It is juddery, pixellated and you get a trace on objects as you pan.

So that went back and replaced it with the Sony SR55. It is 10 times better. picture quality is far superior and working with the finished file was also easier as it is in mpeg2, something that was much harder on the Panasonic.

I bought this camera only a few days ago, but I disagree with the previous comment, for the price you can't get better. This is only my first camera but I have been very impressed, this works inside and out whatever the lighting without the shake that was previously mentioned. We thought we needed a digital camcorder, but have ended up using our digital camera to take videos as the quality is far better, and you also only need one appliance. Stioll, is good value for money, and can take still pics.

I bought this camcorder over a year ago. I had previously used an ordinary non-digital camcorder for several years, but decided to change to one which is lighter to carry about. I assumed it would be as easy or easier to use. I used it on a cruise holiday, and although I had no problems actually filming, the difficulty was when I wanted to transfer the film to a disc. The software cd that came with it had an instruction manual of 95 pages to be downloaded. I have tried many times to use this software to put the film on a disc but cannot. It keeps telling me there is no disc in, or that the disc is full, or that the disc needs formatting, When none of thse is true! So I have given up trying, and intend to sell the camera. Whether I would have the same trouble with any other digital camcorder I don't know but I am too dispirited to even try!

The Panasonic Web cam I have purchased is excellent in quality. Very Cheap in price.
Though used looks like NEW. I am happy. EASY TO USE.
Recording time is also very long. It also used sd card. I use card for taking PHOTOS.
Video for filming. Many thanks for the excellent service given by the SELLER.
