I have owned my Panasonic SC-MT1 for approximately 8 years, and am still impressed with its sound quality. I have not felt the need to upgrade to Blu-Ray or 3D tv or anything else new and fancy, for me the sound quality I get when playing my music cds on this unit is superb, as is the surround sound experience when watching tv or the occasional dvd. I have no hesitation in recommending this unit, and I am so pleased with mine I have no desire or intention to abandon it for any newer technology.
