I got this system as a Christmas present after picking it out myself, and I could not ask for a better present! Loud as hell if you want it, outstanding quality no matter what you're playing, this really is an all rounder.
The port at the front of the case is perfect for connecting an mp3 player, indispensable these days. I don't really use the radio, as I stick to CDs and mp3's but it all works fine. I would recommend this system to anyone, and at this price it is a serious bargain!

I brought one of these when they first came on the market, as i was after a resonably price hi-powerd stero system.
and i have to say, its had just under a year of use so far, and i do not have one fualt or complaint at all. It has brilliant sound quality, even at levels where your own hearing starts to fail, and the bass will shake you apart :) basically, if you either hate your neighbers, or love music, i would strongly recommend this system.

I purchased this product at walmart on clearance for $150. And it was money WELL spent. I tried all the major brand's and this one by far was the best in it's price range. The sony mhc-gx99 is a good system but it does not have the overall range this system provides plus it's bass levels are no where near as deep as this one. This system has has a max volume of level 50 but it shakes the walls at level 20 so that should tell you of it's overall power.
It has 9 different settings ranging from rock, jazz, concert, hall, etc. And it also has a heavy bass option and you can adjust the subwoofer from low, mid, to max levels. This thing gives out deep, rich bass that is really astonishing for a mere home stereo system. I also have a 1200 watt panasonic home theater system with a 350 watt sub and this thing will even give it a run for it's money. Though I use this system in my home gym outside in my garage. Fills the room quite nicely with quality sound. System's total power output is 540 watts with a 180 watt sub. I also tried this years model the panasonic sc-ak750 that is 660 total watts power with a 220 watt sub. And I can tell you for sure this model had a better overall range and it's base levels were still deeper even at it's lesser total wattage. This model was a real gem and I strongly suggest your purchase if you are looking for a good home stereo shelf set for one room. I'm not sure who still sells this model anymore but it's the best shelf set I've ever heard for under $300. |
