DVD Home Cinema System
The Clear Sound Digital Amplifier analyses the difference between the input and output audio signals, and makes the necessary adjustments to produce an output signal with the same low distortion as the input signal. This results in sound that is highly faithful to the original sound source.VIERA Link lets you operate SC-XH150 with a single VIERA TV remote control. With VIERA Link, there's no more need to switch between multiple remote controls. Further, ARC (Audio Return Channel) feature makes it possible to receive audio signals from the TV, on top of the preexisting HDMI function of sending audio/video signals to the TV with just one cable. This simplifies connection by eliminating the audio cable connection between the TV audio output and the main unit's audio input. * ARC compatible TV is required.
You can select the speaker layout based on your room size and situation. 5.1ch surround layout provides the best surround image for larger spaces. And the SC-XH150 is also compatible with Front Layout Mode which allows 5.1ch surround sound with 5 speakers placed in the front. Even with space limitation, 5.1ch surround sound can be enjoyed with selectable speaker layout.
SC-XH150 features a 1080p up-conversion function that converts SD (720 x 576 pixels) images from DVD sources to HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) images. These up-converted signals draw out the maximum performance of an HDMI-compatible 1080p HDTV, giving you vivid, sharp and exceptionally detailed high-resolution images to enjoy.
SC-XH150 lets you enjoy photos (JPEG), music (MP3) and movie (DivX) saved into USB memory.

OK this isn't the best sounding system in the world but remember it is made by panasonic, who I rate in terms of value for money, and for £150 you can't go wrong - it's well worth it for that price. I agree there is a lack of features but if you're on a budget then this is the system for you. The rear speaker cables are very long, plenty long enough to go around my lounge and up the wall at the far side. The front speaker cables aren't very long, I've had to buy my own extension for one of them for a couple of quid but your front speakers aren't supposed to be that far apart anyway. Overall I'm pleased I bought this. It's a space saving replacement for my old hi-fi and also a MASSIVE improvement on the TV's built in speakers. If you're extremely fussy about quality of sound and you can afford it, then go for something more expensive.

I bought this home cinema kit recently for £137 and have to admit for that amount of money it was great. The sound quality when playing DVD's is exceptional, much better that the normal HDTV speakers. In fact i had to tone down the subwoofer because the base was so deep, especially on dvd where there was plenty of action. I have my virgin tivo box fitted to it via an optical cable and this also give excellent quality sound. The cables on the speakers are long enough for my lounge with cable to spare. It also has FM radio and this will shortly replace my current audio equipment. In my opinion this is a great piece of kit at a very low price, (currently selling on amazon at £127. Don't be put off by some of the other reviews, if you want value for money go for this one.

Like in the title for this review this unit is decent value for money, but it states that it churns out a 1000 watts which in my opinion is far from the truth. I am content with my purchase but not ecstatic. If you are looking for something that will blow you away then I suggest you spend a little more (BOSE If you can afford it) or if you are looking for value for your buck then this one is for you. All in all its ok!.......
......Continued, I have added one more star to my original review as the sound and wow factor increased immeasurerably after using it connected to my ps3, where the sound and bass is simply brilliant, would definatley reccomend especially at the price amazon are selling it for now.

WORST SOUND SYSTEM EVER
This is a waste of money, doesnt work with my apple tv and my Viera TV. I used this useless system for a month until it started having problems.. DO NOT BUY WASTE OF MONEY

Good for multiple devices and ARC

Home Cinema
This works well, connected to a Panasonic Freesat TV. The instructions are comprehensive & the sound, compared with the TV Speakers, excellent.
