This is a great Blu-ray system, with excellent picture and sound. Easy to set up, although not as generous as my last system with rear/surround speaker cable length, so you may want to consider the wireless receiver system if you want to put them a long way from the base unit. I bought this system to compliment my 1080p full-HD TV (Phillips), and it certainly does that. The picture is clear and detailed, and it supports a 24fps movie mode. Upscaling of my existing DVDs is very good. Sound is clear and powerful when needed in action movies. I found the subwoofer to be too loud for my taste at default settings, but it's easy to turn the dB down on this using the easy to use speaker setup. Also has a neat little dock for an iPod/iPhone, although I won't be using that much, as the unit is inside a cabinet under the TV, and although the dock "pops out", it doesn't pop out far enough for me to get anything into it without pulling the unit out.

After much research I decided to buy this system to match my new Panasonic TV. My main concern was to match the superb sound qulity of previous TV which had it's own built in dolby amplifier.My other concern was identifying the correct Panasonic model as many sellers show photo's of last years model.The only way you can tell the two models apart in a photograph is to look at the bottom of the sub base unit.The latest 2011 model has a raised section at the bottom of the base unit.
Though there's an easy setup set of instructions you will need to read them very carefully.The main instruction manual is more complex and again you need to read it very carefully.The speakers are very easy to assemble and set up, though Panasonic have been tight fisted on front speaker cables --- another 12 inches would make a big difference.The sound quality is excellent once you've tweaked everything to suit your taste.You may also find that you have to lower the output of the sub base unit as it can dominate.
The remote control is poorly thought out and far to small.It contains no less than 49 buttons in a space of about 6ins x 2ins --- daft idea.
Overall it's a nice quality system with nice looking speakers but a very plain looking player/amp that delivers excellent DVD quality in both 2D and 3D. Mine plays all region DVDs no problem.
I press play for our region or press select for US discs.
Shop around though the prices of this system can vary by up to £120.

I bought this to replace my Samsung DVD surround sound and I'll be the first to admit I was in no hurry to move from DVD to BluRay but we bought a 3D tv recently and as Sky3D is one channel that I only get if I subscribe to every other Sky Channel on the planet the only way I was going to experience 3D at home was buy a blu ray 3d player. So here we are. Speakers are fantastic, very little set up time just a medium cross hair screwdrive is all you need. Sound quality is very good indeed, lots of options to change the set up for less bass, more surround sound etc. The blu ray experience for me was very impressive indeed and TRON in 3d is absolutely stunning. The ipod Dock is a nice option and easy to operate, the other features such as youtube are a very nice touch indeed and again easy to set up. Unlike my tv this system has wifi built in so no need for an extra dongle. All in all this is a very good system indeed. Sound quality is fantastic as you would come to expect from Panasonic/Technics. For the record too i ordered this from Amazon becuase it was cheaper than anywhere else even with guaranteed next day delivery.

Fantastic sound Bluray is perfect and this comes with a hdmai input and out put so you can play your sky Hd through this system a bit pricey but worth every penny
