This system features six vacuum tube amplifiers, giving you six distinctive modes to choose from.
The 96kHz Surround Re-master function enhances the sound quality of CDs and music from other sources, and even raises the quality of the multi-channel audio data on Blu-ray discs and DVDs. It increases the amount of sound information to produce highly fidelity audio.
The SC-BTT370 is compatible with the ARC (Audio Return Channel) feature. ARC makes it possible for one HDMI cable to receive audio signals from the TV AND to send audio/video signals to the TV. Surround sound from your TV signal is therefore possible without the need for an extra audio cable connection between the TV audio output and the main unit's input.
2D to 3D Conversion
The 2D-3D Conversion makes it possible to convert images from DVDs and Blu-ray discs into 3D with natural depth perception. So you can watch your prized DVD movie collection in 3D for even greater viewing enjoyment. The 3D Effect Controller lets you moderate the leaping effects of 3D images. It also allows you to adjust the amount of depth, so you can view expansive images and enjoy movies with exactly the kind of 3D effects you want.
AVCHD movie files recorded with HD camcorders can also be converted from 2D to 3D.*

Online Content Including Skype
With VIERA CAST, you can enjoy online content such as YouTube, Picasa, weather and stock information wirelessly. The system has also been enhanced to include Twitter and Skype. VIERA CAST with Skype lets you enjoy real-time visual communication on screen with family and friends, displaying images on the TV. The Blu-ray Disc players also feature a convenient and unique Auto Answering Video Message function and Video Voice Mail Recording function.

Twin HDMI Input
Two HDMI inputs are equipped on the main unit. This enables SC-BTT370 to connect to set top boxes, game consoles and other devices via HDMI to easily configure a 5.1-channel system. The Standby Pass Through function also conveniently allows signals from devices connected to the home cinema system to go to the TV even when the home cinema is turned off.

Stream Videos, Photos and Music from PC with DLNA
Using DLNA technology, Blu-ray Disc™ players can access files on a DLNA server-compliant PC* or high definition recorders (DIGA). By simply connecting to a home network (LAN), you can enjoy AVCHD, WMV, DivX, JPEG, MP3 and WMA files on your PC or AVCHD files, recorded programmes and JPEG on your DIGA.

Dock Your iPod or iPhone
The home cinema system is a great way to enjoy the music, video and photo content on your iPod or iPhone. The iPod menu can be displayed on the TV screen, and you can use the remote control from the home cinema system or the VIERA TV to select and play it. Digital music connection of an iPod or iPhone allows the home cinema system to process music signals in their original digital form. This eliminates sound degradation caused by digital/analogue conversion during transmission. Users can therefore enjoy their favourite iPod tunes with a pure sound that is highly faithful to the original.
USB and SD Card Input
The SD slot lets you enjoy still images and movie files shot with a LUMIX digital still camera or HD camcorder on your large screen Full HD TV with HD quality (1920x1080 resolution).The SD Image Viewer also lets you enjoy 3D photos (MPO) and movies (AVCHD) shot by a 3D compatible digital camera or camcorder. A 3D compatible TV and 3D eyewear are required for this 3D function.
You can also enjoy photos, movies and music archived on a USB memory device or external hard disk drive. (Compatible only with FAT 32 file systems. Playback is not possible with some external hard disk drives.)

This is the first review I've ever written on an Amazon purchase and the reason why is because quite simply, this piece of kit is amazing. Having researched which Home Cinema system to buy for a while, I decided to take the plunge with this system. Looks great, sounds even better and the iPhone dock is particularly impressive - my music has never sounded so good. Would recommend this system all day long - read the Home Cinema guide on Trusted Reviews for an impartial opinion, and for those who purchase this system, watch Transformers on it - it'll blow you away.

If this review was simply for the sound quality, it would be 5 stars and a perfect review. However there are a couple of small drawbacks not related to performance. Firstly, the rear speaker cable isn't as long as previous home cinema systems I have had, and for anyone with a long lounge/cinema room it might prove inconvenient (I had to take a short cut under the carpet to get the full surround sound experience). Also whenever you turn on the system, it reverts back to its home screen (where you select the input, video, audio, iPod, radio etc) EVERY TIME! You would expect it to just remember whatever input was selected when it was turned off but every time you turn it on you have to go through several selection screens just to hear the TV! Also the display on the front isn't bright at all and I cannot make out what it says (although this isn't really important!). Furthermore, the internet feature isn't too good - the internal wireless adaptor doesn't appear to work as it doesn't pick up my signal despite every other wireless product in my house being fine, and when I hooked it up by ethernet to sample what it has to offer, it was all obscure content, most of which were foreign so I don't use the online features and use my Samsung TVs internet content instead.
Most importantly, the set up, performance and sound quality of the system is fantastic though, even at lower volumes and fully deserves the awards it has got. The addition of iPod dock is very helpful and music sound quality is excellent, and all menus are clear and easy to understand (albeit there are too many of them, see above!) If it wasn't for the (arguably minor) drawbacks above I would give this 5 stars.

I looked far & wide for a all in one blu-ray home cinema system, after checking out the spec of many and testing instore etc.... I chose this one! It is amazing to say the least! 10/10 If you dare turn it up its like being in an actual cinema! Remember though the key is to ensure you set up correctly positioning and sound levels etc. Enjoy... I know I will! :)

pretty on a budget
This blue ray home cinema system is pretty good for under £500. I have it hooked up to a BenQ HD ready projector and the picture quality is sharp, full of life and great blacks. Read more
