Nice Systems Bag 25 Feb 2010
By W. Liu
I got this case at my local dealer to house my GF1 and its accessories. It will comfortably carry the GF1 with 20mm attached and a zoom lens like the 14-45mm stored. The build quality is good. However the detachable velcro separators (2 provided) are the thinest i have ever seen. The shoulder strap has cheap plastic hooks attachments and is also on the thin side with a small flimsy shoulder pad. However the width of the strap (1inch) is a good fit for attaching the Lumix EVF case. There is a large front pocket to hold memory cards, filters etc. And via a plastic buckle, the main compartment top flips open 180 degrees to allow easy access to your gear. There are 2 elasticated net pockets on either side and a carry top handle. The main material used is a nice smooth nylon fabric with a tactile feel, which i presume to be shower proof. It does feel a lot nicer than the rough material used by the likes of Lowepro. The case is lined in the main compartment, with padded top and bottom.

All in all i like the case a lot as it is quite small and light to carry. Its Lumix G logo will attract the thieves though, but i use this case primarily to store my GF1 and accessories at home.

The case measurements are approximately 10in (L) x 7in (H) x 4in (W)

This product is in no way designed for G Series cameras. It's simply a big rectangular bag with a logo on the front. The two moveable velcro dividers allow you to secure the camera and other lens to the sides - with a space in the middle to fit in about 4 other cameras.

The basic point is that I bought the GF2 because it's a very small interchangeable lens camera. Why then would I want to carry around a bag that would happily take a normal SLR? I was hoping for something that would snugly hold the camera I've bought in a nicely designed package, giving me the smallest thing to lug around all day. I've not got that.

I appreciate that some people could have multiple additional lenses and need more space and that might work for them - its about 24cm x 15cm x 10cm.

I bought this as it was heavily discounted down to £20. I already own a Tamrac Photo-Video 1, and whilst the PGS19 shares some similarities with that great bag, it is not as well implemented and fails to impress when in use. There's a basic full-length front pocket for slim accessories, no card pockets though. Nor is the lid pocket of the Tamrac present.

The main compartment uses velcro-fixed dividers that, in theory, allow the user to tailor the bag to their specific requirements. In practice, this process takes a little more swearing than one would expect, and it takes some time and determination to achieve a "perfect" fit. It's worth considering that this kind of bag can be reasonably tailored to fit a camera and additional equipment, but they do not always nicely accomodate the camera's attached neck-strap. This bag is quite slim, so this is an issue of note. Do try, and see if this type of bag is for you. I don't use a neck-strap on my camera's so I'm okay.

The dividers themselves are literally wafer-thin, and offer division, but not protection. The Tamrac's are much more padded and divide and protect, giving a much greater sense of security. The fastening catch is even more awkward than the Tamrac's, which itself isn't ideal. The zips are good quality, but a little awkward in use. The strap is somewhat unpleasant too, though the top handle is quite comfortable and pleasing.

I shall keep this, but use it purely for storing whichever camera I'm not taking with me. The Tamrac is still my workmate. If you want a smart, stylish but ultimately disappointing bag with a spiffy "Lumix G" logo on the front, then this could be the bag for you!

Perfect bag for G-series cameras
This bag arrived this morning to accompany our Lumix G2 (much the same size as G1, G3, GH1, GH2). It appears pretty much perfect for the very reasonable price - some of the reviews... Read more

Not exactly what I envisaged
The camera case will fit the Lumix G10 Camera but you have to take the lens off all the time. I am not sure if any other camera model would work with this case any better but would... Read more

Reasonable bag, could do with some extra pockets
Extra pocket for spare batteries etc would be good. Fine to store the camera and a separate lens, but not large enough for the charger and spares. Read more

Good Product, but
Good bag for the price, but could do with segmentation in the main body of the bag, or a couple of pockets.

Excellent case
I thought this case was perfect for my new camera. I am able to fit in the camera and battery charger. The best part is that the camera case is light and small. The perfect case.
