Spec of this microwave looked good so I bought it. It is cheaply made with very thin stainless steel sheeting making up the shell. Also, the unit I purchased did not sit firmly on its four rubber feet just like a wobbly chair or table. So now it has a Heath Robinson wedge under one corner. Not very satisfactory in terms of design and construction. However, functionality is sound and it works well but does get hotter than other microwaves I've used. I have other Panasonic products which are very well put together but it seems that their microwaves are not in the same class.

Bought this to replace an old National (aka Panasonic) microwave.
It does what it needs to do well, however some of the settings are less than easy to use ... on older model for example you could simply pressing a time value and use it as a kitchen timer .. useful if you want a delay before or after using microwave.
This unit can't do that ....... it can send all sorts fo fancy text messages on screen though ........ but they are pretty useless ........ why do you need it to scroll "Open door" after it has finished heating .... ? superfluous.
We have not found any use for grill / oven side (even though we thought we would)
The silver finish has already worn off the main door open button, which is a worrying point on build quality ....... plastics seem cheap.
I expected better form Panasonic.
