    Bought this based on the Which? report, it was judged the best standalone solo microwave. It is a bit plastic-y, and the first one I received was broken (not encouraging). Credit to Amazon though, they sent a replacement that arrived the next day - well done Amazon! New one great, and so far working as hoped! Would recommend it.

    We just wanted a reliable microwave that cooked food evenly and fast- not really into grilling foods for that we use the oven. We also wanted a microwave that defrosted evenly and did not actually cook food when in the defrost mode- we sometimes forget to defrost naturally at room temp. Well the PANASONIC was excellent all round and unsurprisingly is one of Which Magazine's top rated mircowaves.We definitely think Panasonic is a cut above the rest.

    It's a microwave, and it microwaves very well - it does what it says on the tin. Food is evenly and well cooked. So, no complaints there.

    If there's an issue it's that some of the features can be a little complicated. Chaos Defrost, for example, isn't too hard to figure out, but you have to weigh meat before it's defrosted when sometimes all you want to do is stick it in for a minute, test it, and if it's not defrosted yet give it another burst.

    That said, I've seen much more complicated ways of achieving the same ends, and by and large it's an excellent machine which can be highly recommended to anyone.
