The Ultimate Cooking Performance

Slimline = 20%Saving

The Panasonic NN-CT562MBPQ is made for kitchens with limited space and combines the efficiency of a microwave with the traditional browning and roasting of a conventional oven to ensure that your meal choice is endless. The convection oven offers a huge temperature range, 100-220°C, which ensures the success when cooking anything from meringues, cakes and pastries to Yorkshire Puddings and roast joints. In addition, the versatility that the Convection Oven and Grill provide, results in many greater options and methods for your preparation of food, while significantly reducing the cooking time by half to two thirds. The sleek and stylish stainless steel is not only for aesthetics but also hygiene and ease of use; it is a lot simpler to clean than other material.

Space Saving Slim Design

Space in your kitchen is always at a premium, especially when preparing ingredients. The Slimline Combination Oven with a large 27 Litre Dish Capacity takes up to 20% less space on the work surface than a comparable Combination Oven because Panasonic have moved the fan to the roof of the oven rather than at the back, reducing the depth of the oven by 20%.

Inverter Technology

Inverter Technology
Inverter Technology
Chaos Defrost
Chaos Defrost

Available on most Panasonic microwave ovens, the conventional and bulky transformer and capacitor components are replaced with a compact circuit board which provides many user-friendly benefits such as:

  • Constant Power: Most microwaves operate on constant power, when High or Full is selected. Other power levels are achieved by the microwave pulsing on and off. Panasonic Inverter technology gives constant energy on medium and low power settings – providing an alternative cooking process for your food.
  • Even Cooking: When cooking or reheating, Inverter technology ensures is heated evenly – improving texture and flavour.
  • Lighter Ovens: Microwaves using the Inverter technology can weigh approximately 3kg less than a traditional microwave.

Chaos Defrost

Chaos Defrost uses random pulses of microwave energy to reduce defrosting times. Not only does this speed up the defrosting process, but is also produces very even defrosting allowing the food to be used immediately for cooking.

Quartz Grill

The 1300W Quartz Grill with three settings heats up instantly to brown and cook all traditionally grilled foods – ideal for today’s busy lifestyles.

Auto Programs

With 13 Auto Weight programs the user has many choices. A selection of foods can be cooked automatically by selecting from the auto-weight options available, just simply enter the weight and the correct cooking mode, saving the user having to look up the correct procedures for their food. By offering such simplicity; time and energy can be saved by optimising the microwave energies.

Much more space saving than the previous model because the cooling fan is in the roof not behind the cooking area, which is a big plus as the cooking area is the same. The price has fallen a lot compared to the previous model. The controls are clearer to see, simpler, and so easier to use. On the negative side, the machine has a far more 'plasticy' look to it and the door catch seems very notchy, not the smooth level of operation we are used to from Panasonic.

I bought this to replace a previous Panasonic microwave (the earlier version of the same model) that I had been using happily for many years. I have to say that I am disappointed at the lack of quality in the newer model.
The first one that arrived worked twice and then died - fortunately it was quickly replaced by Amazon and the second is still going strong but the build quality is poor as are the accessories supplied with the machine are also of a far poorer quality than I had with the earlier machine. At nearly £160 I expected better but I guess that is progress for you.
My advice to perspective customers would be to try and see the machine for real before you buy - and make up your own minds if you think it is worth the money!

Get back to basics....great quality, reliability, trust in the product.....not this rubbish

I always by Panasonic, I have TVs, microwaves, speakers, headphones, all gadgets, but now I am disgusted!!

The build quality is cheap, the door catch sounded cheap even when I unpacked it. It felt lighter, less robust and tacky, and that's before I used it!!!
Plugged it in...Just!!! as they have shortened the cable!!! Decided to have a quick ready meal, cook for full power for five minutes...not hard...pressed sounded like a metal bar trying to stop a large fan!!!! I stopped it, checked I had not left any packing materials in it and restarted.... the same!!! it stopped after a few noisy seconds, but I found myself looking at it with suspicion!! after a short while I thought try again... this time no sound at all, the fan was not spinning and I doubt the over was actually working. tried it a third time and the noise was back!!! I unplugged it and went to the loft to retrieve the box and am sending it back to Amazon.....Do not buy this is rubbish and I am at a loss as to what to do now!!!

This is a superb combination microwave oven in my opinion, with several different features and settings which make cooking with it straightforward. The main positive for me is that everything I've cooked so far has been cooked evenly. So many times with other microwave ovens, I cooked things to find part of it really hot and other parts cold. Combination ovens are generally much larger than this one, so it's great that this doesn't take up too much space. Despite this, the inside of this microwave is deceptively big, with a large plate. The instructions are quite comprehensive and easy to follow, although the cooking times may not be entirely accurate, so a bit of trial and error may be required there.

Things to be aware of are that the inside of the oven can get extremely hot, so be careful when putting your hands inside. The door can also get very hot when used on the oven setting. The digital display possibly isn't the easiest to read from a distance, particularly if there is sunlight shining on it. The numbers on the control panel could also be a little clearer, and the keypad perhaps a little more responsive. The fan and turntable are not quiet, but then you're never going to get a microwave oven that is totally quiet anyway.

I bought this particular Panasonic model because my previous (much cheaper and simpler) Panasonic microwave oven lasted over ten years with fairly frequent use. I've had this combination oven for just under a year now and everything has worked as it should and I've had no problems whatsoever. I'd happily recommend this Panasonic combination oven to anyone.

This is not a convection oven, the old combination microwaves (CT776 for example) had a fan and cooking element in the back of the machine as well as the grill element in the top, this was excellent. Now some clever accountant who does not cook has decided the grill element in the top of the machine will do just fine on both counts and to save money has got rid of the convection element and fan in the back, to justify this he tells you how he is saving room on your worktop and calls it THE SLIMLINE COMBI. Let me tell you the result of this penny pinching exercise, should you actually want to bake something in this "NOT" oven, it will seriously burn the top of whatever you are baking, as the direct heat from the grill searing down from the top is designed to do this. So if you want to bake in your combination microwave don't buy a slimline combi and I would think this goes for any make

    Hi All,

A quick review of this microwave and the potential disaster.

Some time lines before we start

    Order placed: 27 February 2015
    Received: 11 March 2015
    Faulty on: 17 March 2015

So having used the microwave a total of 5 times, to cook the following items (please don't judge me on my poor diet, I'm a single fella lol)

2 separate meals of 2 small(ish) baked potatoes each, (no tin foil used)
1 meal of 2 chicken breasts
1 meal of pre-cooked bolognaise, previously cooked in a pan and only required heating, and not bad if I say so myself lol

So there I am, about 3 minutes into cooking another potato (no tin foil used) on microwave only and I turn to leave the room when I catch sight of smoke "leaking" from the door seal. Thinking I've burnt the potato I open the door sharpish....... potato is just fine, uncooked but fine, but the door seal (that's what I'd call it, see picture) has melted and there is a "scorch mark" of sticky plastic on the facing edge of the interior.
I've taken some pictures as a picture tells a thousand words. Hopefully you can see the localised "burning" of the door seal/surround.
Notwithstanding the bother of replacement (going to give Panasonic another go) the lack of microwave meals etc, I dread to think about the potential disaster to the kitchen/house had I not seen the smoke before leaving the room. The kitchen still smells of acrid smoke.

Just goes to show that we shouldn't trust any heating device on its own.

Hope you find this review useful, as I don't normally leave them.
