This Stylish Metallic Combination Microwave Oven offers Panasonic's renowned " Dimension 4 " cooking performance. With a full temperature range 0f 40, 100-250 Degrees C, ensuring success when cooking anything from meringues and pastries to Yorkshire puddings and roast joints.
In addition , the Turbo Bake program combines the Convection Oven & Grill to give extra crisping and browning to food, such as pizzas, whilst significantly reducing the cooking time.

A Catalytic self clean lining is included at the back of the oven in addition to the stainless steel lining. This back lining is a self clean coating, cleaning takes place when the convection oven is in use and is performed as a continous process - this means there is never a build up of food or grease on the lining as splashes and spills are burnt off.

I'm now on my third version of this particular machine. In terms of cooking performance and versatility it meets almost all our requirements but Panasonic's quality control leaves a very great deal to be desired.

The first machine developed an intermittent fault which meant that when the door was opened during or after convection cooking the timer display simply went blank and had to be reset. The supplier's service engineer couldn't fix this so the machine was replaced. The second machine had a bad rattle when delivered and also had the same problem with the timer so that was returned as well.

I then switched suppliers to Amazon in the hope that a machine from a different batch would solve things. This was delivered today but has already had to have a piece of rubber pushed under one of its legs to stop it wobbling on what I know is an absolutely flat surface. If that's the only problem and it doesn't develope the same fault with the timer as the other two machines or, indeed, or any other fault, then I will be happy so long as the cooking performance is up to scratch.

Panasonic really do have to radically improve their manufacturing and quality control standards or they will ruin their reputation as a reliable supplier of domestic appliances.

Update: The third machine has exactly the same timer/display fault as the other two machines. This looks very much like a built-in design problem rather than just bad luck so buy it at your peril! This is a great pity because apart from the timer/display fault and a bit of a wobble the Panansonic does perform very well.

Amazon have agreed to replace the faulty machine so in the hope that not every machine Panansonic produces can be faulty I will give it one final go. If the fourth machine fails that will be it and as Panasonic were extremely stuffy and quite dismissive when I spoke to them about these recurring problems I will then try a Sharp 959SLM which seems to have rave reviews.

Further Update: sadly the fourth machine has now failed with exactly the same timer/display problem as the first three machines. Whilst Panasonic do now acknowlege that they've had another customer with exactly same problem they still deny that this is an inherent fault with this particular machine. Despite what they say this quite clearly is the case so whatever you do don't buy this particular model until and if this has been fully resolved.
