Registering handset
1 From the Handset menu (hit the arrow up button) enter "#130"
2 and Select a base unit number (first in the list will do fine)
3 from the Base unit: Press and hold the intercom button (bottom right) until it goes beep beep beep... (it will beep for about 90 seconds, or until you complete the final step)
4 Back to Handset: "Base PIN" displays. Enter PIN "0000" (unless you gave your base station a new pin, in which case ;0) good luck!

Registering the new handset is simple but the Panasonic Operating Instructions are not as clear as they might be. At the handset, select and perform Main menu/Initial setup/Register. The handset should then display "Please wait for 1 minute". You have to perform the next two steps within that minute: At the base station, press and hold the bottom right hand Locator button for 5 seconds. Beeping will start and after a short delay the handset should display "Base PIN". Enter 0000 at the handset and the job's done.

I purchased this handset as an addition to the quad set I already had. The sound quality is very good. I really like the feature that allows you to copy numbers between phones....its so easy to do. Has an intercom feature as well, which we use a lot. Would recommend.
