Panasonic KX-TG6592EM Twin Pack Big Button DECT Phone with 40 minute TAM
Having considered so many dust attracting glossy, tiny display, micro button & poor sounding dect phones, I finally came across this one. What a revelation.
Smart mid grey with big positive action buttons & large numbers/letters on keypad, with orange backlight. Display is white backlight with large clear text & date/time calendar & location such as kitchen/bedroom. Very handy as this appears on screen when using the intercom feature. Good range, strong signal in my garage 40 yards away from base station. Easily obtained inexpensive Ni-MH rechargeable batteries.
Very comfortable in the hand with crystal clear sound on the ear and using the speakerphone. Six volume levels & the loudest is very loud - great if you are hearing impaired. Ringer volume options the same. Ringer tones the usual mix of naff & good. You will probably find something you like.
Phonebook (100 entries) is shared & easy to use & edit. Compile the entries on one handset & copy it to all the rest with just a couple of key presses. Phonebook will accept prefixes for the cheap call providers such as 18185. There are 3 speed dial buttons on the handset, one of which can be set up for a distress/emergency. It will send your voice or prerecorded message to up to 4 phone numbers. Ideal for some of us older folk.
Lots of other stuff - caller id display, missed call display, call barring, alarm, eco mode, conference call, handset lock(in or outgoing), handset locator,voice enhancer, headphone socket & answerphone facility.
Highly recommended particularly for the the outstanding sound quality. Supplied via Amazon from DST(UK)Ltd whose service was also exemplary.

The BT phones these replaced had no backlight and a display you could hardly see, so I wasn't sorry went they packed up, after looking at several models including the seimens gigaset, I finally chose the panasonic, I'm so glad I did, the display is big and bold with an excellent backlight.
Set up was very straightforward, you only have to enter your phone list into the main set and send to the other handset, the easy dial function is very useful, as the other two people in the house are in there eighties its so easy for them to press just the one button to get me on my mobile, they did have a problem with the BT phones, the answerphone is good and easy to operate, all in all a great phone, I,m very pleased with, well worth the money.

Purchased this phone because I am hard of hearing and use hearing aids. This phone is completely compatible with the use of aids, and the hearing volume, and the ringing volume can be altered to suit your requirements. I would recommend this package to anyone who needs to be in control of the volume, and the twin pack makes it very useful.

my wife is disabled and the large letters, figures and buttons are a great advantage for her. The system was easy to install and set up and is easy to use.
