I found these phones very easy to set up, an once connected and charged they are very good quality. The answer machine is also very easy to use.
I found the phone book especially good. Once you have entered all of your numbers into one phone, there is then a function to copy them across to the other handset, which is a very nice feature.
In respect to some of the other reviews given, I would say that the ring tones are a bit 'twee' but once you get used to it they are not that bad.
Also people have mentioned bad call quality. This is not a fault with the handset it is a fault of the person setting it up. If you have broadband you must make sure that you have a micro-filter in every phone socket being used in the house. If you don't have the micro filter you will get the interference that other people are talking about.

Bought this phone to replace my old BT hand set...and I feel its a great buy! Very sleek and posh looking phone and very easy to use. Did'nt even have to use the user manual to set it up.Very good functions and lovely ring tones. The speaker phone is useful feature for me when I am cooking in the kitchen and don't want to get the phone all wet and strain my neck!The quality of sound is good too.

We just purchased this dual phone and answer machine to replace a Philips model that died a few days ago. On the whole I'm impressed, nice clear display, easy to set up, good quality feel, nice tactile buttons. It has some nice features including one to help locate your phone if it gets lost under a pile of papers etc.
I haven't used the answer machine yet but telephone calls are crisp and clear, unlike (in my experience so far) the other review suggests.
One criticism I have is the ringtone(s). They are all pretty awful 'polyphonic' tones, while this doesn't really interfere with the core function of the phone, it would have been nice to have a few 'normal' tones. Aside from that pretty happy.

I had a basic (other brand) cordless phone for about 2 years and it just died... never believe them. My dad has a Panasonic phone for more than 10-12 years.. still works like new..
This model is gr8... the best thing is that, you need to attach telephone line to just one set... second set can be put anywhere in the house and you done need to connect the telephone line..need to provide just power to base unit..
sound is clear.. buttons are good and responsive.. you dont have to press really hard like my previous one.
menus are good... loudspeaker is brilliant... it looks a quality product.. so can put it in my living room.. :)
I will strongly suggest it.. and the price is really good.. I wish I should have bought this earlier..

Easy to use, good battery life and a quality feel to the handset make this product a real pleasure to use. The buttons are large enough for those of us with slighty larger hands and the sound quality on the Panasonic handset leaves my previous trendy slimline DECT unit well and truly resigned to the recycling bin. Answerphone on the base is far easier to use than some, which can only be accessed via the handset, however this little beauty is fully functionable from both the base unit and via the handset. Not requiring a telephone socket for the second handset also presents this product as a more flexible option, all you need is a power socket and hey presto. I was slightly scepticale when I saw the price but all in all I would thoroughly recommend this package.
