great phone - great price,

This phone is better than I thought it would be, I was relying on the panasonic brand to live up to all the other panasonic stuff I have and it doesn't disappoint. The buttons are easy to see, easy set up and best of all for me it has the call barring facility (30 numbers) even though it is not mentioned in the description. The phone ring tones let it down slightly but we found one we could live with so not a problem for us. Speaker phone on the handset is a plus and the phone looks nice and tidy when set up. Volume can be altered so if you are hard of hearing this phone is not a problem for you. Cannot fault it.

Simple to set up and easy to use. It basically sets itself up when you plug in the base and satellite unit.
The LCDs have nice large letters, the handsets have nice large buttons - all of these are backlit when used. The supplied AAA rechargeables take an initial 7 hours to charge up and take a few cycles to charge fully. It will work with larger capacities than the 550 mAh supplied. I had some 800mAhs and used them instead. The answer phone voice is a little bassy but seems okay - you can add your own. You can set the max length of the answer-phone call - I set mine to 1 minute. It is easy to operate. It can be accessed or turned on/off either from a handset or the base unit. It has a speakerphone for handsfree and communal calls. Volume control. Caller ID if your service has this. Intercom between handsets. You can insert up to 100 numbers for quick recall - easy to set up and use. Ringtones are okay but nothing special. I like number 2 the best. You can chain dial for numbers which require extra numbers, eg PIN number after dialling the bank. There are other functions depending on how you use the phone. Whilst it is plasticky (isn't the world today), it looks durable and up to the job. I am satisfied with it and the good price from Amazon.

Purchased this phone after a lot of research and reading reviews from other people. All the good reviews are more than justified.
Looks great, sound is excellent, ringtones are loud and bountiful in number, feels sturdy enough, the menu and functions are very easy to use and get used to, the keys are large and backlit. Has plenty of other features as well (intercom, alarm, personal answering message, conference call, choice of answering time limit, remote acess to answering machince, can extent to upto 6 handsets if need be) Also has a great feature that allows you to copy phonebook numbers from one handset to another. Overall delighted with the phone. Fully recommended.
