Panasonic GD-87 Mobile Phone, 6 July 2003
This review is from: Panasonic GD87 (Electronics)
I recently bought the Panasonic GD-87; overall I would give it 10-10. The only downside to it is using text, swapping from letters to numeric is a real pain. Unlike other mobiles were repeated press of key gives you numbers and letters. The camera function is excellent, takes great pictures, you can even edit, frame, re size. Great functions, really nice sound. The user Manuel is limited in information, but then the phone is a dream to use and navigation is simplicity in itself. One other poor point because of the great functions and the fact it lights like a Christmas tree, the battery soon drains. Anybody wishing to purchase the Panasonic should seriously consider buying them selves a spare battery.

What a Camera, 24 May 2004
This review is from: Panasonic GD87 (Electronics)
When I purchased this phone, I had previously owned a Nokia 7210. I upgraded because I wanted to have a camera phone (all my friends were getting them and my once new 7210 was looking quite ordinary among there Sharp GX10's etc) What can I say... the camera is excellent, it is still the best I have seen on a mobile phone to this day and it still beats the much newer Motorolla v500. Forget the other reviews on here doubting this product because if you are looking to go on holiday and take pictures, this phone will not let you down, it is much cheaper than other makes and models and the performance is better in my opinion. However, the few bad points are.... there is no built in flash and there is only a '2X' zoom feature. The phone itself is nice to hold and the hinge is very firm, it does not feel flimsy or delicate like some samsung models. The antena is still there but it is not that large and does not stick out obviously. The phone does not support Mp3 or bluetooth but the IR port allows data to be sent easily to and from the PC, to add ringtones and pictures. Java is also not supported but downloadable games are available and to be honest are no different from the Java games. Overall this phone is excellent and I really have to urge the camera quality - IT IS THE BEST I HAVE SEEN!!!

Quite big.....but pureley fullfilling, 22 Jun 2003
This review is from: Panasonic GD87 (Electronics)
Once again Panasonic have come up with an item of pure class. The Panasonic GD87 is a phone of utter enjoyment, the buttons are great,. They're not to small and (surprisingly) not to big.infact EVERYTHING on the phone seems to be in proportion accept the actual phone itself. Normally, the majority of people tend to prefer small phones. But if it's a good camera phone you're looking for, im afraid a bit of bulkiness is going to have to be on the agenda. Don't worry the Panasonic GD87 is not a Brick. But, if im going to be honest with you, its not very far off. Don't get me wrong, this phone is incredible. The picture taking, the controllability, the reliability and the whole use of it are great. So on the whole I'd give it a 9/10.The only thing is the size. But at the end of the day I'd completely recommend this phone to you.
