Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

GD67,the Mobile Phone that gives you the freedom to express yourself through personalisation.

Its unique Image-in system enables you to have your own choice of image inside the removable transparent back cover. Simply choose a picture, such as a photograph or from a magazine, cut it to the right shape using the template provided, and insert it into the back cover.

TheGD67 is the first Panasonic mobile phone with a full-colour display screen (256 colours), that enhances gaming, downloadable colour graphics, menu navigation and the WAP browsing experience*

The 16-tone polyphonic ringer produces high-quality ring tone sound. Each beat is played like a chord producing ring tones that sound even closer to the original song or tune. This feature coupled with downloadable** polyphonic ring tones and a recordable ringer, means that the choice and quality better suits you.

The GD67 supports EMS (Enhanced Message Service) for enriched text messaging. EMS allows you to add pictures, animations, sounds and formatted text to your messages. You can then exchange them with friends with EMS enabled mobile phones.

The GD67 also features GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) supporting 4+1 timeslots. GPRS will provide an ‘always-on’ facility, where you will be virtually permanently connected to the network yet only utilise airtime during the actual transfer of data. This means that you will have the time to read and think about the information you’ve downloaded without using valuable airtime.

* The GD67 does not support full colour WAP browsing, but will be supplied with a colour style capability allowing pre-defined colours for browsing.

**The ability to download ring tones will be country and network dependent.

2.0 out of 5 stars Looks aren't everything, 11 Feb 2004
This review is from: Panasonic GD67 - O2 - Pay And Go (Electronics)
I bought this phone second hand after I tragically lost my beloved Nokia 8310. Does it fill the hole in my heart? Not even close!

The colour screen is cool along with the ringtones and stuff but not of a great quality and the joystick is very hard to control. It's impossible to make the text message alert loud enough as well. Actually creating a text is very difficult for a predictive texter like me because you have to keep switching between modes to stick in numbers or adding a word that isn't already in the dictionary (which I had to figure out how to do myself because the booklet doesn't explain). Battery life is really poor too, I find I have to charge my phone nearly every other day.

Overall, it's an okay looking phone but the the better features on the phone are difficult to use and I'll carry on mournfully calling out for my 8310....

5.0 out of 5 stars nothing wrong with it... well amost nothing..., 30 Jun 2003
This review is from: Panasonic GD67 - O2 - Pay And Go (Electronics)
After years loyally holding onto my phillips savvy i decided it was time for a change. Set myself a price limit, and bought as much as i could for the price.. The choices... Bog Standard Nokia with a couple of games, a few ringtones, and free gym membership so you could carry it around... the rather ugly new sony errickson, or the panasonic, which to be honest id never seen. quiete simply it won on features by a mile... Colour screen, decent ringtones, good message storage, calander and organiser, and most of all it was easy to navigate (ok.. so took a while to work it out like anything), in fact each day i discover more, voice recording (so you can record a phone call), user alerts so you can have different tones (and screen displays) for each caller (great having work phoning, my phone wails like a police siren and a huge warning sign comes up...) - Ok a few phones do this, but having a different screen picture for each caller is cool...

in the end, it does the job.. for those who just want a phone that will make calls, text, and a bit of wap, it is superb with the added bonus of colour screen, and the added bits like organiser etc...

for those that want the extras, polyphonic ringtones, voice recording and all that jazz, it makes it an even better buy...

i bought this phone 2 years ago and up and till now it was working well. the vibrate alert does not work(but will work when it wants too) and the buttons you have too press down on them extra hard for them to work.
