Having looked at quite a few of the epilators on Amazon, I opted for this mainly due to price. It is a good all-rounder, with two epilator heads (one for legs and one for bikini line / underarms) plus a shaver and trimmer. As for the pain, it's nothing compared to my old epilator, using it on my legs I experienced a slight tingling whilst using it on my bikini line was a little more painful, unsurprisingly!
Overall I'm really happy with my purchase and am doubtful whether the extra money would have been well spent elsewhere.

Having tried and failed with an epilator in the 80s which was sheer torture, I approached the purchase of this epilator with some caution hoping that they have vastly improved their game. I am thrilled to say they have! I am a real wuss when it comes to pain but found that even on the first outing the pain levels were minimum, helped if you stretch the skin and have a bath first to open up the pores. Even the bikini attachment wasn't anywhere near as painful as I had anticipated. The only downside to epilating or waxing is the problem with ingrown hairs which was quite an issue for me after my first go and almost more painful than the epilating itself. However using 'Smooth Naturally' Boots-own-make ingrown hair minimiser lotion took care of the problem after a few days and its been fine ever since. If you use this lotion for 5 days before you epilate too then problems with ingrown hair should be a thing of the past. I think this Epilator is great value for money, does what it says on the tin and has great lasting effects! Give it a go, you might be surprised!

This was my first epilator purchase and I have to say I was quite disapointed. Yes it does get even the short hairs and is fairly painless, but because you have to go over and over the same area to get all the hairs, it takes forever to do even one leg. It took so long that I got bored half way through the second leg and gave up. However, the areas that I have epilated are still pretty hair free after 2 weeks, so I might persevere and have another go.
