PANASONIC PRO CURVE ES7102A511.
I bought this shaver a short while ago, and I am truly impressed. I thought nothing would top my Philips 8850 which I have had for around 6 years. But after reading some reviews on the new Philips shavers, and seeing how expensive a comparable replacement for mine would be, I looked at alternatives. The reviews for the Panasonic ES7101S511, (this is 1 model below) is given universally high praise. (There were no reviews for the ES7102A511, which is the one that I bought). And they are only differentiated by the amount of LED's. There are more LED's on the ES7102A511. Otherwise it is the same. But because of a special offer on Amazon, it was, and still is at the time of writing, 50% off, and with free delivery, making it less expensive than its lower spec brother.
Usually, it will take a couple of weeks for your skin to adjust to any new shaving method, but from the off, the Panasonic was outstanding, giving a better shave than the Philips I have from the start. And the Philips I have has relatively new blades too. I have only used it with Nivea shaving gel so far, and haven't tried it dry. I used to use Mach 3 blades, and I have to say, and remarkably, the Panasonic ES7102A511 Men's Shaver in Blue & Silver
feels as close as they shave. I agree with the very positive reviews given of the ES7101S511, (the model below) as it is essentially the same product, the one I have, just has more LED's. If you use Mach 3's, and are tired of their high price or, are looking for a new electric shaver, you will be hard pressed to find a better one, at any price.
