Less Cutting Resistance with Extra-Sharp Blades
Using three of the world’s sharpest inner blades, Nano particles are used to polish the blade edge to a fine tip of 0.3µm, 3 times sharper compared to conventional 1.0µm. This reduces the cutting resistance by approximately 1/2 for an effortless shave.
Moreover, the inner blades are arranged at a 30° angle to shave off hair horizontally for a more precise, close shave. Panasonic has created an electric shaver that delivers the closest shave possible through this technology which is normally reserved for the most expensive shavers.

The panasonic ES-RT81 wet and dry electric razor seems to be performing very well.
I have just started to use it and it compares well with my last shaver . good close shave and the easy clean is working ok. At the price paid it is a very good buy in comparison to the much higher cost razers.

This initially looked like a cracking buy as I've seen this in the shops for about £100, however, having used it now for a couple of months, I'm very disappointed. The battery is supposed to last for approx 14 shaves of about three minutes, the increments on the display starts at 100% down to 0% in 20% increments, according to the manual when you get to 0% you should have enough power for one last shave. Not so with mine, dont know whether the batt. pack is faulty or not but mine cuts out after 40% then display goes to 0%, I've never seen the display at 20%.
I'm lucky if I get a week out of it and the cleaning system while is pretty good, takes three hours to complete cycle, on the plus side it only takes an hour to charge.
Down to the shave itself, I've got a moderate growth and I just cant get a close enough shave at all with this, in fact I got new cutters and foil for my trusty old remington, glad I didn't bin it, I'm hoping when I change the foil and cutters on this I might get a better shave, think I read in another post that Panasonic had changed the supplier/manufacturer for these so it could be just that.
Overall, I couldn't recommend this to anyone wanting a nice close shave, sorry Panasonic, nice ergonomics but poor shaver.

Does what it says on the tin- very sharp blades give a good shave, wet or dry,
a wee bit difficult to follow the instructions for the cleaning , re-charging unit. Cassettes are an outrageous price. Aprevious reviewer gave good advice- wash the razor under the cold tap and split to dry, then use the unit sparingly.
