My first portable DVD player, bought on the strength of the clip on battery pack which I assumed could be un-clipped and taken away to be recharged without the need to take the whole machine, perhaps buying another battery pack so the kids could carry on watching whilst the other was recharging.

This is not the case. You still have to take the whole machine battery and all, and plug it in. Perhaps something for the design team at panasonic to think about.

Apart from that a great machine. very pleased.

I bought this DVD player for my toddler for when we go on holiday as we have a long flight. The battery life is good, but the picture quality is terrible. The screen broke twice, just by going blank and not working again. My daughter never was left alone with it so it couldn't have been her. I was very let down by this product, especially because i paid £[] for it, you'd expect it to last a little longer than a week.

I mistakenly purchased this player the picture is VERY POOR and so dark it's very difficult to watch, even turning up the brightness to maximum it still didn't deliver. The picture quality was so bad i could almost count the pixels, it reminded me of the old 625 lines we used to view TV in the past, perhaps im biased because of watching a fully HD telly and sky HD?
The sound isn't that great either, others have mentioned it as "tinny" i have to agree.
The case design is very flimsy with too many moving parts that would be quite easily broken, especially if you have children. It does come with a bracket to attach to the back of a car seat. Which makes it completly useless as the is NO remote control and your children would be undoing seat belts to gain access to the controls.
For the cost im sure there are better out there. The other downside to this is you have to pay out seperatly for a carrying case.
Summery - very few features for mega cost, just avoid it
