I was looking for just the right case for my FZ100 and this is it. Black leather, very soft and has a padded lining. There is a belt loop but no shoulder strap as you use the camera's own neck strap. Now, this is just a case which fits the camera and there is no room for anything else. This is good for me as I wanted it to protect the camera whilst in my coat pocket. If you need to carry anything other than the camera, then I suggest you buy a generic camera kit bag.

Generally I am pleased with this case. I wanted a case for my new DMC-FZ45 camera and decided to splash out on the makers own case made for the product. There were no other reviews of it and so I bought it on spec. It is soft black leather and gives good protection to the camera. There is a small pocket inside into which I have put a couple of spare memory cards. There is no carry strap with the case so the whole unit is carried using the strap of the camera. The camera case is secured to the camera, once inside, by a nylon tye (press stud) on either side but as the tyes of the case are at the rear of the case and the camera strap is on the top of the camera (so when the camera is in the case they are at the front) it makes for an awkward connection. I guess all cameras have this problem. I can live with it, but as the case and my camera are both Panasonic I think the case could have been better designed which is why I can't give it 5 stars. There is also a belt loop on the rear which gives an alternative carrying option.

Case looks ok as specified but i simply couldnt believe that a carry case for a camera doesn't come with a shoulder strap.
I would have thought thats a basic requirement for a carry case. Most disappointed.
