Got this lens for panasonic FZ45. Very good lens .So why 4 out of 5.Well if you use it in low light conditions the pictures suffer from sound at full zoom (40 to 41 X zoom ) . However it is an brilliant lens in good conditions. It is capable of taking a clear picture of a house brick at five hundred metres. Camera shake is a problem so you may want to consider purchasing a tripod as i did. Use the timer to further reduce shake. Buy a tripod with a panning handle to smooth out video on full zoom. Must be used with adaptor.

If you're looking for a little extra zoom on your Panasonic camera, then this lens is for you. Quickly and easily it fits on to the DMW-LA5E lens adapter (which you will need to add any lens to your Panasonic FZ40, FZ45 or FZ100). This lens also fits other Lumix cameras but you will need to find out which lens adapter you need first.
Pictures with this zoom lens are very good, the subject is always kept in clear crisp focus but any background matter is kept slightly off focus, this provides a very professional appearance to your photos. I have already found having the extra zoom handy, especially when taking pictures of jittery birds that fly off if you get too close (that's most of them). All in all an excellent addition to the Lumix range. Thanks.

Ordered this item for my wife's Lumix DMC FZ-28, its crystal clear and increases the zoom well. camera already has 18x optical zoom but this just gives you that bit extra. I bought a cheap generic lens set that offered a 3x tele-conversion lens but they were very blurry and did not work at all. Stick to named products like this. 5*
